The custom donuts are >> there are so many toppings to choose from and they stay fresh for a few days. Seriously look at the picture attached they are so beautiful and they taste even better than they look. The beach (vanilla icing with cinnamon sugar) is unreal – if you like cinnamon/cinnamon rolls you have to order this one it is holy grail to me. My only complaint is you can’t order the custom donuts on DoorDash because there is some sort of glitch

Duck donuts are like no other donuts out there. They make them on the spot so it will be the freshest donuts you can buy. The glaze on them is also super fresh, it melts right off. I got the glaze, vanilla with sprinkles and the Oreo one. They’re so crispy on the outside yet so soft on the inside. I’ve never had anything like this, it’s so yummy! The service is quick and the workers are so nice.

First time at this donut shop. They are super fresh and super good! although my kids wish the donuts were a little bit crispy on the surface then it would of taste amazing! Another thing is….. is it normal when you pick up the donuts is it supposed to stuck some portion of the donuts on the box? Anyway, overall the donuts was good.

I remember my first Duck Donut experience in Virginia 7 years ago going to Austin today on 4817 if you have a carry-on bagand to this day it is still amazing. The donuts are fresh and custom made to each order.
This time I got peach pie, Oreo, strawberry lemonade and caramel. Oh so gooood!!

Checking out how they make them right there is cool. Donuts are not especially our kind of treat, but I imagine folks who like them would be delighted. We liked the cheesecake flavors, especially the blueberry and key lime ones.

The donuts were delicious as always! The crew was nice. There was not a long wait to order or to receive our order. I have to visit every time I’m in Durham for sure. I live 3 hours away.

The employees here are more interested in their cell phones than helping customers. The cashier was annoyed that she had to put her phone down to take my order. Doughnut make decided to sit on the floor and check his phone instead of fixing my order.
I had to change my rating after trying the donuts. Worst donuts I’ve ever had. They use an instant mix for the batter. They were more like fried pieces of cake. I know if this were my business I’d be doing everything from scratch and actually having a dough instead of a batter.
Honestly, I’ve had better doughnuts that I made from a can of biscuits.

This is a pretty poorly run business. I’m not sure who is in charge, but there was a huge line of people waiting for what they purchased and the two people in the back were on their phones showing each other Instagram posts.
There is no sense of urgency here at all.
It took 20 mins for me to get a bagel and a latte.
Cool idea, bad execution at this location.
Edited. When I recieved my egg bagel it was burnt black. Absolutely will not go back. Not Even an apology or eye contact when I told them it was burnt.

While I think that hot donuts are great and these donuts at Duck Donuts are tasty there are reasons why I think that they can’t be nearly as good as other local donut shops. First they sell only cake donuts and no yeast donuts and yeast donuts are my favorite. Secondly, they only make one flavor of donut so there are not chocolate cake donuts or other flavors of the actual donut. The toppings are really tasty but not as original or creative as I’ve had at other places where they sold only one type of cake donuts with different toppings. Their local competition is very stiff with both Monuts and Early Bird Donuts within 10 miles. I would give them 3.5 stars if I could.
