The menu is divided into two main categories: traditional and gourmet. In the former section you’ll have choices like plain sugar, cinnamon glazed twist, cinnamon roll and apple fritter.
In the gourmet category, there are options like Amy’s Almond Joy, a donut covered in chocolate frosting, with almond and coconut topping and hot fudge drizzle. Or how about the Bananas Foster, coated with banana frosting, topped in banana chips, and with a caramel and fudge drizzle.
The shop is open daily from 5am to midnight. You can dine in, get takeout, or order your food for delivery to your door.

Lily’s Donuts & Drinks also goes by the name of Donuts & Noodles. But whatever you call them, the donuts here are definitely worth checking out.
The selection includes glazed and filled donuts, filled and plain Long Johns, twists, sprinkled, iced, old fashioned and bear claws. There’s an excellent apple fritter too.
You’ll also find savory bites like kolaches and croissants. And there’s a good drinks menu, including delicious bubble tea.

If you’re looking for oversized specialty donuts in Colorado Spring, Hurts is your number 1 option. There are over 70 varieties on offer here, including the Bavarian, Andes Mint, English Gentleman and ET.
The story behind the chain is an unusual one. The founders made their first donut the day before their first shop opened! But four years on, there are 20 stores across the country.
The range is eclectic, the service is good, and the prices are reasonable. The shop offers takeout only, and it’s open 24 hours a day, seven days a week.

Happy Hour Donuts doesn’t have a physical location. You order their donuts online, and they’ll deliver anywhere in Colorado Springs. And these donuts have something special about them – they’re dosed with a dash of alcohol!
The flavors include bourbon apple fritters, maple bourbon cinnamon rolls, strawberry margarita, and coffee cake, featuring coffee flavored liqueur.
For special occasions, try the champagne donut, complete with gold sprinkles. Or perhaps the Raspberry Rosé, with rosé wine and pale pink buttercream roses on top.

Decadent is a coffee and dessert bar with a fine line in donuts. And despite the sumptuous shop interior and seriously gourmet offerings, the prices here are surprisingly modest.
Choose the donut hole skillet for warm, fresh donut perfection. The donut holes are topped in vanilla gelato, drizzled in caramel and fudge, and topped with powdered sugar.

Shipley’s is a chain of donut shops with a seriously good selection. Everything here is made fresh and by hand every day. And you can taste the quality in every bite.
There are more than 60 different flavors on offer. Choose from caked, raised, iced, filled and glazed donuts. There are fruity flavors, chocolatey flavors, jelly and cream fillings, and as many sprinkles as you could ask for.
You can also get donut holes, twists, bear claws, apple fritters, butterfly rolls and cinnamon rolls. The coffee menu, on the other hand, is very simple – choose between hot and iced.

Some say that Horseshoe have the best donuts in Colorado. So why not head out to Monument and see if you agree?
There’s a wide selection of flavors, and most are available every day. A few fluctuate though, depending on the whims of the donut maker.
You can usually choose from options like the Colorado Cream, a donut with chocolate frosting and filled with Bavarian Cream. Or there’s the Bullseye, a raised glazed donut with a raspberry, lemon or apple filling and vanilla drizzle.
And you shouldn’t leave without sampling the special – the horseshoe shaped donut with chocolate frosting.
This is a drive-through only restaurant, and it’s open every day from 6am to 2pm.

Wimberger’s is an old school German bakery, with a wonderful range of breads and pastries. And it wins its place on this list courtesy of its truly excellent Berliner donuts.
You can also get delicious German deli meats, cheese, salad seasoning, mustard and the like. In short, it’s a treasure trove of goodies you won’t find in many other places. And you know it’s good when you see the number of German customers stocking up their pantries!
The customer service is excellent, and the prices are very reasonable.

If you’re looking for hot, fresh donuts, check out Third Space Coffee. This excellent little coffee shop offers mini donuts with a choice of cinnamon sugar or powdered sugar topping. You can also choose from different drizzles, including caramel and chocolate.
And of course, you can wash them down with a superlative cup of Joe. The beans here are roasted in-house, and there are some great specialties as well as all the usual espresso drinks.

Sweet Elizabeth’s Organics can be found in the same shopping center as Mountain Mama’s and Wag ‘N’ Wash. Head right to the end to spot it – you’ll be glad you did.
The food here is designed to be allergen free, but that doesn’t mean you have to compromise on taste. The donuts are some of the best you’ll find anywhere. And while there’s not the same range of flavors as in specialist donut shops, everything here is top quality.
Choose from plain donuts, or those with icing and frosting. The flavors on offer are lemon, strawberry, chocolate or vanilla.
Other sweet treats include cookies, mini loaves, scones, cupcakes, waffles and coffee cake. Or choose from savory bites including soup, breakfast sandwiches, salads and focaccia pizza.

The donuts at the Donut Mill are both delicious and reasonably priced. Go when you’ve worked up an appetite!

Pneuma is a coffee house that specializes in top notch brews. But it also offers some very good donuts.
You won’t find a huge assortment of flavors – that’s not what this place is about. But the donuts are fresh, warm and tasty. And they go brilliantly with the gourmet coffee.
There’s the usual range of espresso drinks, plus batch brew, cold brew and frappe. You’ll also find plenty of other hot and cold drinks. And as well as the donuts, you can snack on pastries, fruit, oats and burritos.

Valley Espresso is another location where the focus is on the coffee. But they also serve excellent mini donuts, made fresh in-house.
They come with a topping of cinnamon sugar, and they’re hot, light and fluffy – the perfect combination.

Krispy Kreme is another chain where you know exactly what you’ll be getting. There’s a great choice of flavors, plus a good beverage menu.
This is a relatively new outlet, and it’s still finding its feet. We’ve heard reports of inconsistent quality and service, but things seem to be looking up. And if you love the Krispy Kreme recipes, this is a worthy addition to the Colorado Springs donut scene.
The shop is open for dine in and drive-through, and delivery is available too. Opening hours are 5.30am to 10pm Sunday to Thursday, and 5.30am to 11pm on Fridays and Saturdays.
