I love this place, man. Whenever I head north to Algonquin park I try to stop in to Hanks. The first time I went I showed up right when they open their doors. It’s a rustic and warm interior and they have a great selection of breads and sweets.
The apple fritter is huge and tasted great. Their cinnamon rolls incredible. The custard slice was rich and sweet and amazing. Butter tarts are pretty good.
I went recently around lunch time and they had no apple fritters. I would like to try their donuts next time.

Head up from Scarborough this morning. Picked up a few treats from Hanks. Got my apple fritter this time. I should have bought more of the cinnamon rolls to freeze but I know I will be back again.

Always find yummy, freshly baked treats that are a hit with the whole family! Today we picked up some fern tarts and an apple pie. Their cinnamon buns are also delicious! They’re always busy, which is a testament to wonderful their baked goods are.

Best butter tart and butter tart varieties. Must try! Their donuts are also very large and tasty. The butter tart donut, although unique to them, it is best shared with a bunch of people and hopefully with people who love sweets.

Heard so much good things about this place and love the exterior of it!
I got an apple fritter since I saw it’s like the go to top one selling donut there.
Ripped a bit off and tried it right after I purchased it, it’s so so. Not what I have in mind, didn’t finish it.
Went home re heated it and serve it with a scoop of vanilla ice cream, love it!

Been wanting to try these for a long time. In my opinion there is just an unnecessary amount of whipped cream on these bad boys that take away from the flavours of the donuts. The butter tart donut and the banana cream were the shining stars and the butterfinger was the next runner up. Was hoping to try an apple crumble but received two carrot cakes instead unfortunately. Also find it a little strange that they don’t offer a deal when ordering a half-dozen or a dozen as most other donut places do.

They simply don’t miss here. You can pick ANYTHING off the menu and you won’t be disappointed. Apple Fritters the size of your head!!!! Outrageous donuts and pastries! Everything is handmade and you can taste it. SO good. I’d give them 10 stars if that were an option. I go every week!

We’ve been loyal happy customers of Hank’s since 1974 (that should tell you how good they are!). My favourites are the cream puffs and chocolate eclairs. Can’t get enough of them! I really miss breakfast at this wonderful bakery. Hopefully, the restaurant section will re-open in the near future. Until then, we’ll be back regularly for more must-have sweet treats! ❤️

CAUTION: May cause salivation/drooling. The aroma is magnificent as you walk through the door. The cherry cheesecake donut was absolutely delicious. The apple fritters are ginormous. Haven’t tried the fruit cake bread yet. I’m sure it will be delicious
