Donuts are one of the only savory treats that truly are universal in terms of worldwide consumption. Regardless of where you visit in the world, you are likely to find donuts on sale at a local bakery and/or cafe, albeit with different flavors and textures depending on which continent you’re on.
In Asia, one of the most popular donut chains is JCo Donuts and Coffee and this company is going to be the focus of today’s article. We’re going to take a look at the history of the company, while also taking a deep dive into the various donut flavors they have on offer.
The History of JCo Donuts
JCo Donuts and Coffee was first launched in 2006 in Indonesia and has never looked back. Since its first store opened, the company has become the fastest growing donut/coffee shop chain in Indonesia and has opened 236 stores in its home country alone over the past 16 years.
They have also branched out from Indonesia and have set up stores in other Asian countries and areas, including Singapore, Malaysia, Saudi Araba Philippines, and Hong Kong. They now boast more than 300 stores across all of Asia.
The reason they have been so successful over the past 16 years is in large due to their donuts. While you may find that some donuts are quite cakey and dry, JCo donuts are complete the opposite. Their donuts are soft and fluffy with a light dough and they almost melt in your mouth during consumption.
In addition to that, they steer clear of thick, coats of sugar and artificial toppings. Instead, JCo take inspiration from their heritage and add unique Asian flavors and toppings to their donuts. Each of their stores has special donuts that are inspired by their surroundings.
Instead of using artificial flavorings and colorings, JCo pride themselves on using “real” ingredients when it comes to their donuts. Sure, using artificial flavors is quicker but by taking more time and care on their donuts, they come out with a better product. It is this innovation that has made them so successful.

JCo Donuts Flavors
Now it’s time for the main even – JCo’s donuts and their crazy donut variety… As mentioned earlier, each individual store does have its own specials but for the purposes of this list, we are going to be running through some of the best offerings on their extensive main donut menu. Be prepared to get hungry!
A classic donut dipped in white chocolate sauce and topped with a selection of sliced toasted almonds. Sure, nuts aren’t traditional donut toppings but they work really well here. It’s also an aesthetically pleasing donut with sliced almonds looking like wings on top of the donut.
2. Avocado Dicaprio
Not only is this one of the coolest names we’ve ever heard for a donut, but it’s also got some of the best ingredients. It’s a donut full of flavor, filled with avocado cream and dipped in avocado chocolate. To top things off, dark chocolate flakes are scattered around the edges.
3. Berry Spears
From Dicaprio to Britney, JCo clearly have a thing for pop culture. Their Berry Spears offering is filled with whipped cream cheese and is dipped in strawberry jam. The top of the Berry Spear is garnished with white chocolate flakes. Sure, it’s not the healthiest donut in the world, but who eats donuts during a health kick anyway?!
4. Blue Berrymore
The Blue Berrymore donut from JCo is very similar to the Berry Spears donut – it is filled with whipped cream cheese and topped with white chocolate flakes. The key difference is what the donut is dipped in – while the Berry Spears is dipped in strawberry jam, the Blue Berrymore is dipped in blueberry jam.
5. Caviar Chocolate
Away from popstars and actors now and moving into the caviar and chocolate, this donut is exactly what it says on the tin. It is dipped in hazelnut chocolate and is then covered in dark chocolate crips. Enjoy the combination of nut flavoring and dark chocolate.
6. Cheese Cakelicious
If you’re a fan of cheesecakes then you are going to absolutely adore this donut. It is filled with whipped cream cheese and then dipped in white chocolate. On top of the donut sits cookie crumbs and white chocolate pieces.
7. Chocolate Rainbow
This is the type of donut that you would expect to see Homer Simpson eating. It is dipped in white chocolate and sprinkled with crushed toasted almonds. The glaze is made from strawberry jam, meaning you can guarantee a sweet taste throughout.
8. Copa Banana
Some people fall in love AT the Copacabana, others fall in love WITH the Copa Banana. This is a JCo classic and is filled with banana custard cream and dark chocolate with the creamy topping being a dollop of banana custard cream. It may well be the sweetest thing ever created.
9. Crunchy Crunchy
What if we told you that JCo produces a donut that combines donuts with a popular cereal? If that sounds up you’re street then you are going to love the Crunchy Crunchy. It is a donut dipped in milk chocolate and topped with cornflakes.
10. Don Mochino
It would have been criminal for JCo to not create a donut or two that combine their coffees with their donuts and Don Mochino does exactly that. This donut is filled with mocha cream, dipped in dark chocolate, and topped with white chocolate.
11. Heaven Berry
The Heaven Berry is probably the most attractive donut to look at on the JCo menu, with its glistening pink exterior standing out from the crowd. It also has a beautiful inside too, with a strawberry cream filling. The pink exterior comes from a combination of strawberry milk chocolate and white chocolate.
12. Jacky Chunk
Jacky Chunk may not be the smoothest of donut names, but that doesn’t take away from their taste. This honey-glazed donut is dipped in dark chocolate and topped with crushed peanuts.
Another ganache filling here, but this time in the form of dark chocolate ganache, rather than green tea. Aside from that, the Meisisipi donut is topped with chocolate sprinkles.
From milkshakes to ice creams now to donuts, is there anything that you can’t make out of oreo ingredients? Either way, we certainly aren’t complaining especially when it comes to JCo’s Oreology donut. It is dipped and drizzled with white chocolate and has a cookie crumb topping.
15. Snow White
It is a close-run thing, but the Snow White is probably JCo’s most sugary donut. It is filled with whipped vanilla cream and coated in the confectioner’s sugar icing powder. If you don’t have a sweet tooth then this isn’t the donut for you.
16. Tira Miss U
The final donut to tell you about from the JCo donut menu is the Tira Miss U. It’s a clever play on words and it’s a tasty donut. It is filled with tiramisu cream and is dipped in tiramisu chocolate. On top, it is sprinkled with chocolate powder.
For a full list of all of their products, including candy cane donuts and bite-sized donuts which are sold by the dozen, visit their website.
To conclude, the JCo donut menu is extensive, to say the least. It is undoubtedly the best place on the planet if you want to try new donut flavors and types. Although they are currently only operating in Southeast Asia, we wouldn’t be surprised if they ventured into other parts of the world in time. After all, it’s about time Krispy Kreme and Dunkin’ had some new competition.
