Head to Harmony Bakery for donuts that are both gluten-free and vegan.
In these unusual times, the bakery sometimes serves a limited menu, so it’s a good idea to check in advance what’s on offer. The website has all the details. At the time of writing, the donut options were limited to cinnamon sugar and chocolate glazed.
Even if that’s the case, though, you’ll still be able to place a special order. So if you need more donuts, just give them a call.

Woodlea Bakery is a family enterprise that’s been run by the Hergenroeder family for over 65 years. And they’ve notched up some serious donut expertise in their time.
The result is a donut that many customers say is the best they’ve ever tasted. The menu features a range of different styles, from regular yeast raised donuts to Bismarks and apple fritters. And if you’re feeling especially peckish, there’s an extra-large donut too.

The history of Fenwick Bakery stretches back almost a hundred years – and its founder was baking well before that. That makes it a Baltimore institution – and it’s an institution that offers some top notch donuts.
Their range covers honey dips, fried buns, crullers, chocolate, filled, and filled and iced. The selection of flavors isn’t as enormous as the biggest chains, but everything is made fresh and is great quality.
The menu stretches far beyond donuts too. You’ll find everything from cookies to buns, Danishes to pies, tarts to decorated cakes, and a great range of breads and rolls.

For a seriously good artisan donut, track down the Blondie’s food truck. At the heart of the menu is a delicious brioche donut made from a family recipe. Everything is made fresh daily and from scratch – that includes the glazes, custards and creams.

Okay, strictly speaking Cinnaholic make cinnamon buns, rather than donuts. But the range of flavors and toppings here are like nothing you’ve ever seen. And there’s a distinctly donutty vibe to the menu.

Head there on particular days, though, and you’ll be treated to as fine a selection of donuts as you’ll find anywhere. “Donut days” are usually Fridays, but check ahead of time to avoid disappointment.
There’s also a good range of savory foods, including regularly changing specials like lamb gyro. And, as you’d expect, the coffee here is exceptional.

The selection isn’t enormous, but this is a case of quality over quantity. You can choose from eight different flavors, and all the classics are here. Glazed, chocolate covered, Boston creme, jelly, caramel, and cinnamon, glazed and chocolate covered twists – all are present and correct.

Yia Yia’s Bakery has a great range of sweet and savory baked goods. And that includes a small but perfectly formed selection of tasty donuts.
It’s a bakery rather than a donut shop, so flavors change regularly. If you want something in particular – the marshmallow donuts get high praise from customers – it’s best to order in advance.
