All the donuts are made fresh on the premises, with top quality ingredients. And the customer service is efficient and friendly.

The shop is open from 5pm to 5am six days a week, and from 6am to 1pm on Sundays.

There’s no online ordering here. If you want to reserve your donuts in advance, you can DM the shop on Instagram. They’ll need 24 hours’ notice.

Otherwise pop into the shop. There’s a small dining area for eating in, or you can get your doughnuts to go. Opening hours are 8am to 3pm on weekdays, and 9am to 5pm on weekends.

The family-run shop offers creative flavors like banana cream, root beer float, and blueberry crumb. You’ll find all the classics here too – glazed, Bismarcks, raised and frosted. Wash your selection down with a cup of coffee from local artisan brewers Silver Bean.

You can either use the drive-through or head into the shop to order. Whichever option you choose, you’ll get friendly and helpful service. And the prices offer good value for money too.

Darla’s is open from Monday to Friday, from 5am to 1pm.

As the name suggests, the donuts here are made fresh daily. In fact, you can watch the staff making them as they serve! They’re light and fluffy, and the range of flavors includes all the classics. Customer favorites include the chocolate cake, apple fritter and blueberry glazed.

The shop is popular with locals, so expect a line. But the efficient service means you won’t be waiting long.

It’s open for dine in, drive-through and delivery from 5am to 5pm, every day except Sunday.

Mad Dough SLC offers a truly amazing range of flavors. And many of its customers say their donuts are the best they’ve ever tasted.

Choose from options like the Salty Smoky Nilly, featuring a salted vanilla bean filling with what’s intriguingly called “liquid smoke”. Or how about the Cherry Chocolate Chunk, with chunks of cherry and dark chocolate enrobed in almond cream.

You’ll also find more traditional options, like a Boston cream that’s regularly reviewed as the best ever made.

Order online for pick-up or delivery. Or head to the store and you’ll sometimes find mystery specials too. It’s open four days a week, from Wednesday through Saturday. Opening hours are 9am to 3pm but get there early for the best selection. And be warned: they close early if they sell out.

Momi is the place to go if you want mochi donuts. A cross between Japanese rice cakes and traditional donuts, they have a sweet flavor and chewy texture.

The flavors available every day are plain, glazed, cookies and cream, matcha matcha, chocolate, strawberry and guava. There’s also a new feature flavor every month.

Head online and you can also order specials from previous months. Note, though, that there’s a minimum order of six donuts if you want to do this. The options available are ube, churro, pandan, caramel, black sesame, Key lime and chocolate toffee.

You buy the donuts here by the box, in either dozen or half-dozen selections. The menu is divided into regular, gourmet, and premium gourmet options.

Regular flavors include chocolate glazed, blueberry cake, glazed maple bar, old fashioned, and white chocolate vanilla cake.

The gourmet and premium gourmet options include Nutella Oreo, M&Ms, blueberry cheesecake, Boston cream, and pina colada. We highly recommend checking out the strawberry cheesecake – it has sliced fresh strawberries inside.

The store offers both takeout and delivery five days a week, staying closed on Mondays and Tuesdays. Opening hours are 6am to 1pm Wednesday to Saturday, and 7am to 1pm on Sundays.

Vosen’s Bread Paradise is a German style bakery offering a huge range of breads and pastries. And that includes some top notch donuts.

They include Croiliners – a Berliner croissant donut – in flavors like strawberry, maple and chocolate. There’s also a traditional Berliner donut, filled with raspberry or apricot jelly and dusted in powdered sugar.

It’s a good idea to order ahead if you can, as items sell out fast. Place an order online by 1pm for the next day. If you want to, you can order several days ahead too. Pick-up and delivery are both available.

Opening hours are 7am to 6pm Monday to Friday, 8am to 4.30pm on Saturday, and 9am to 3pm on Sunday.

If you’re avoiding gluten, the Good Food Gluten Free Bakery is a great choice. Its entire menu is gluten-free. And there are some dairy-free options too.

The wide range of baked goods includes a very decent donut selection. Options include Boston cream, glazed, maple bars, old fashioned, cinnamon sugar and apple fritter. They’re not the cheapest out there, but the quality is excellent.

The shop is open from 9am to 5.30pm Monday to Friday, and from 9am to 2pm on Saturday. There’s no dine in option, but takeout and delivery are both available.

At Canela, donuts, pan dulce and Danish pastries are made fresh on the premises every day. The donuts sell out fast though, so get there early.

Flavors include glazed and pink frosted, and there’s plenty of different fillings, sprinkles and toppings. It’s worth checking out their savory range too – the Mexican bread gets top marks from customers.

The prices are modest, and the customer service is very good. Note, though, that this is a takeout only option. The shop is open from Monday to Saturday, 7.30 am to 8pm.

You’ll find a great range of biscuits, pies, muffins and cakes here, as well as some delicious donuts. Look out for specials to celebrate the holidays, like heart-shaped donuts and eclairs with a “U” for the big game.  There’s also great coffee, provided by local roasters King’s Peak.

Prices offer great value for money, and the vibe from staff is welcoming and efficient.

The shop is open for takeout only five days a week, from 8am to 5pm. It stays closed on Sundays and Mondays.

The Dough Miner is a newcomer to Salt Lake City, offering a combination of delicious donuts and savory Cornish pasties. Everything is made fresh in-house, and they promise their donuts are some of the most decadent in town.

They’re cake donuts, slightly crisp on the outside and moist on the inside. Amongst the flavors getting rave reviews from customers are the strawberries and cream and the Gold Digger. There’s also an amazing looking Death by Chocolate, featuring crushed malted milk balls and real gold flakes.

The shop is open for dine in and takeout from Wednesday through Sunday, 8am to 3pm.

If you love croissant donuts, Forty Three Bakery is the perfect shop for you. They’re the store’s specialty, and they’re absolute perfection.

The range isn’t huge, but everything is crafted with care. The flavors include powdered, cinnamon sugar, huckleberry jam filled with a powdered topping, and vanilla bean glazed. There’s also a delicious dulce de leche filled donut with cinnamon sugar, and a lemon filled with vanilla glaze.

The shop is open from Wednesday to Sunday, from 8am to 3pm. You can either collect your donuts to go or get them delivered to your door.

Chain donut shop Duck Donuts is known for its innovative flavor combinations. And it gives you the opportunity to craft your very own donut, with your choice of coating, topping and drizzle.

The custom experience starts the moment you order, with a vanilla cake donut freshly made on the spot. Coating choices include cinnamon or powdered sugar, glazed, or a range of icing flavors including maple, strawberry and chocolate.

Toppings include Oreo cookie pieces, Graham cracker crumbs, shredded coconut and chopped peanuts. Then there are the drizzles – raspberry, marshmallow, hot fudge or salted caramel.

Alternatively, you can go with a “fan favorite”, where a tried and tested combination is provided.

The shop is open daily for takeout or delivery. Hours are 7am to 7pm six days a week, and 8am to 12pm on Sundays.
