Solid local doughnut shop. The wall of empty boxes waiting to be filled with customer treasures is hysterical. I was fortunate to follow a mom and her 4 yr old into the store and share in his wide-eyed amazement in all the sweet, soft and delicious choices.
I stuck to the basics and got both an original raised and a strawberry iced doughnut. How well a place does the basics is a good start for the first time into a good doughnut shop.
Didn’t disappoint at all. The original was soft, pillowy and not over fried. Glaze was simple and seemed a little milky even. Loved it. This is a large ring and not the ever shrinking KKreme ring. (yeah, I just said that, here in NC).
The strawberry iced was how I love it, not filled glazed first with a 2nd overly sweet strawberry icing. The plain, unglazed raised ring is simply iced. The mildly sweet yeast raised ring balances wonderfully with a very sweet icing. Perfecting when fresh and this was.
The shop is super simple, and right next to a dentist office in a strip mall on Capital Blvd. Good planning. LOL.

My brother got me some cake donuts from there yesterday because I love cake donuts and that’s his favorite place to get donuts. I tried one yesterday and it was awesome. I wouldn’t recommend bakers doesn’t donuts to all of my friends and family and anybody who asked me where a good place to get donuts is.

This was my 2nd purchasing donuts from here. They are now one of my favorite donut shops. The crueller is a must try, it’s so light, airy and it’s not overly sweet like other donuts that I’ve had.

I find out this donuts shop on line. It is small place, but they are so good. You should go there early. Choice get smaller at later day. If you are the donuts lover, you must try this place. Take out only. You will not regret trying them. Or you might, end up gaining some pounds.

No Rating No Donuts!
Today I visited the donut shop after passing it by many times. I saw a fly buzzing around in the case with the donuts and I asked the staff where they had their NC Sanitation Score and Letter Grade (required by law) she first acted oblivious to the fact that it’s required by law in all restaurants in NC. She then acknowledged that restaurants do have to have it but told me that it was none of my business anyway. I was shocked at the attitude I caught from this saleswoman OVER DONUTS. They must be doing a lot wrong to be so private over a sanitation score in a donut shop. I will definitely be taking my business to Duck Donuts for a cleaner and friendlier experience!

I just recently moved into this area and saw this donut shop on my way to work the other day. I decided to stop by and see what kinda donuts we working with here.
Let me tell you!! That was the best decision I made today. The shop is clean and bright!
There was a lovely employee there that took my order. I order one of their raspberry jelly donut, a glaze donut, and a cinnamon crunch.
Mmmmmmm so good!!! All three donuts hit the spot!!! Soft and sweet to each bite! Every donut was amazing! I highly recommend this place!!!!

I went in with my daughter today, and she wanted to have donut holes and a custard filled donut. The lady knew that she wanted a glazed custard because she pointed at the ones she wanted, but gave her a chocolate custard filled instead. She came up to me and said that she didn’t get the one she bought, and I became quite upset. I told her to go back and ask for the one she actually wanted for the one the lady gave to her. She came back to me saying that they don’t allow refunds. I understand they don’t allow refunds but my daughter is only 9 years old. She is only a child, and the lady should have asked her which one she wanted instead of giving something random. So I went in with her and I asked her if I could please get the one my daughter actually asked for, and yet again showed me the no refunds sign. Then she started an argument with me by starting off saying she didn’t ask for one she wanted and I was very aware that my daughter asked for what she wanted. I just sparked at the end telling her if I can get the donut my daughter wanted AND payed for, and in the end giving me it saying she doesn’t want us coming back ever again. This was not a good first impression of her. This was a really bad experience, never coming back.

Fantastic service. Lovely local. They keep the display window full of fresh donuts and pastries. Their donuts are soft, fresh, and delicious. Bought a bakers dozen and took them home to have with coffee. What a great treat.

I had read reviews that the donuts were better than Duck Donuts, Krispy Kreme, Dunkin’ Donuts, etc…. I can say that they are very good. I polished off the 1.50 dozen donut holes by myself within 15 minutes. They were delish. I bought two glazed twist donuts and two blueberry cake donuts as well. They were delish as well and I am not much of a blueberry cake donut fan. I absolutely love Duck Donuts with all the toppings so I can’t really compare this place with Duck Donuts but I can compare it against Krispy Kreme / Dunkin’ Donuts and I like this place better!!! I will be going back to this place next time I am in Raleigh. Thanks for the awesome donuts. Great service too and friendly. I bought all of my donuts for under $6 as well!!! 🙂

Just wow! I asked one of the staff to recommend either the apple fritter or the cinnamon bun. She thought for a while and then said get the apple fritter because they are still warm. Man, was that a good choice. This thing was not only warm but it was crispy on the outside with an incredibly awesome gooey Apple inside. It was the best apple fritter I have ever had.
