So I REALLY wanted to like these donuts, but I just didn’t. I saw them listed as one of the best donut shops in Charlotte so I wanted to try. Unfortunately I think the only reason they made the list is because of their square shape and prettiness, because the flavor is really lacking. They taste more like a sour croissant or fluffy sour bread with icing spread on top. I will say the lady working was especially nice and i could tell she took great care of her customers. Unfortunately that is not enough to make it worth my trip back. If you’re looking for the best donuts in Charlotte, please make a visit to OMG Donuts.

Donuts are fried well and are not greasy. The frosting are creative and really good. They have standard flavors, including my favorite lemon honey, and weekly flavors.
Sporadic Travels
Went for the first time today and needless to say we are hooked!!! We just needed a little pick me up from running errands all morning and needing some energy to keep going. We were in the Park Road shopping center for something else, so this was perfect.
At first, I balked at the prices! $4.50 for one donut. More economical but still pricey is a half dozen for $21.12 or dozen for $36. Being our first time I went with mixed half dozen so we could try all the flavors… and boy oh boy are we not disappointed. So much so that later today, we got another half dozen to share with our family!
We got sweet potato cinnamon, creamy blueberry, strawberry pretzel, vanilla, salted caramel and milk chocolate with sprinkles. Our absolute favorites are salted caramel, vanilla and creamy blueberry!!!
This will be reserved as a treat since it’s so expensive, but we will 100% be back and next time we want to go to their store in Matthews where they have other baked goods like bread, muffins, etc. and where they make everything fresh!!!

Never stand in line at Duck Donuts again!! Your Mom’s Donuts are WAY better in quality and taste. The walk up corner store is super fast and friendly. Grab a dozen for the fam, they’ll love ‘em!

I really wanted to like these but the flavors just don’t work at all. The actual donut tasted like they just fried a piece of old bread. Maybe instead of a donut I would call it a savory bread square with herb icing???? I don’t even know. Just save yourself the money and wasted calories and go to duck donuts!!

Probably one of my favorite donut shops in Charlotte, because of the taste and texture of the donuts, the size of the donuts and the flavors/toppings.
These donuts are yeast style so they’re more along the lines of traditional donuts. Definitely great flakiness but more density due to the thickness of the donuts.
Where they also diverge is size – these donuts are probably 2 – 2.5 times bigger than normal donuts – thus the prices are also higher for each donut. A dozen donuts come in a large pizza box because a normal donut box is too small. Don’t let the price deter you as you’re getting double essentially.
My favorite flavor is definitely the cinnamon sugar with the cream cheese icing!

I’m on a mission to find the best donut shops in CLT. Typically, I stay away from specialty donuts. These are some of the best specialty donuts I’ve ever had. The cheesecake filling was great. Dark chocolate was like a chocolate easter bunny melted on top. The milk chocolate was hands down the best milk chocolate on a donut I’ve ever had. Wonderful spot. The biggest turn away from the specialty donut shops is the excellent, fluffy and full dough. Excellent job.

I have been following their page on Instagram for a while now and finally made some time to check them out. They always post tasty looking donuts and I tried them out on my cheat day.
I arrived about 1:40 pm on a Saturday 20 minutes before closing. I wish I could of made it sooner. They only had the honey lemon left and it was surprisingly delicious. I was going for a vanilla bean I saw on their regular menu. But the honey lemon was really good and the donut itself had a wonderful texture when I bit into it.
I would of given 5 stars but the customer service was lacking a little. I was at the window waiting for a while before I was acknowledged. They are cashless so be prepared.
