Delicious and fresh donuts! Stopped in here on a Sunday morning and picked up a half dozen donuts for $9.50. Customer service was top-notch and they accept all major credit cards. I will definitely have to come back for lunch!

Found this gem while exploring the neighborhood. What a delight!! Donuts were still fresh late in the day. Perfect size to share or splurge and they have donut holes!! Sometimes you only want a nibble. Donuts were so light, fluffy and melt in your mouth. Filled donuts are actually filled. Apple fritters have actual apple. I would have shown you the donuts holes but I ate them.

“Delicious, freshly-baked donuts baked with love by a family business.”
Pros:
Fresh-baked donuts made daily.
Excellent soft, puffy texture with a slightly crispy outer texture.
Friendly, family-owned business
Plenty of parking
Reasonably priced
Cons:
Most of the donuts are traditional, no weird or wacky creations.
Donuts tend to sell out so make sure you keep yourself informed via their FB page.
Ken’s Takeaway:
King Donuts has been a staple in the Rainier Beach/South Seattle area for many years. Starting off as a donut shop, teriyaki/Thai food, and laundromat, the well-known establishment will be transitioning as a donut-only venue in August 2021.
I stopped by on a Saturday early afternoon (around 1pm) and ordered a few donuts to try out. What came as a surprise, they didn’t have pre-filled donuts but you had the option of having it filled between three flavors (cream, raspberry, and lemon). The overall texture of the donuts has a soft and fluffy consistency, which was good considering that some donuts tend to have a dry or dense texture. The initial bite has a slight crispiness to the outer texture but you will eventually be led into the fluffy goodness.
Pretty much all of the donuts were traditional fare (maple bars, sprinkled, old-fashioned, with cream, etc.) so those looking for more creative or outrageous creations may need to look elsewhere. Although the donuts lean more traditional, you can tell that the bakers have really perfected their recipe and it shows in the overall taste and texture.
Customer service was also friendly and King Donuts has plenty of parking so no worries about finding a spot.
As a heads up, they typically sell out of donuts so make sure you check out their Facebook page for updates. Otherwise, you might head home empty-handed.
Would I go back?
Yes! The donuts are delicious and reasonably priced, so anyone hankering for some good ol’ traditional donuts and near the Rainier Beach area should stop by and check them out. Also, it’s always good to support local businesses so this family-owned establishment is worth the patronage.

This is a great place to get cheap and delicious donuts if you live in S Seattle, Columbia city or Bryn mawr sky way area. During the era of high inflation, i can rarely find a donut place like that. Both coffee and donuts are cheap and tastes amazing. Highly recommended donut place in this area.

Great doughnuts. Loved the peach frosted and buttermilk bar. Big selection. I would bring my friends here.

I got a regular glazed donut and it was delicious. Light, fluffy, and sweet, but not overly sweet or fake sugar or anything. Sometimes all you need it a good simple donut. There’s a small parking lot too!

These classic donuts are executed impeccably well. The yeast donuts are light and fluffy, and the cake donuts are moist inside with crisp exteriors. When you need a donut, King Donuts will deliver the comfort and deliciousness that can brighten the most sullen of Seattle days.

My husband stopped in for the first time today and RAZZ hands down was supper helpful and above and beyond for us . He was patient and understanding and made sure the visit was perfect. Higley recommend this place and customer service. Please make sure he gets the recognition he deserves ….

The best Thai food in Seattle, even with such a limited menu. The donuts, I’m told, were fresh and delicious. Customer service was too notch. My only complaint was the customer there beatboxing while spinning around, with her mask sitting under her chin. No one said anything to her, so I left and called the employee at the desk to bring it out for me.

Love it. Great donuts. Recommend early arrival before they run out of your favorite donut. :0) Daughters favorite is the pink with sprinkles .
