I buy their sweets for personal pleasure and also for friends to watch them dive into the pleasure. Lol

My favorite is roll cake. Outer sponge is very fluffy and coconuts gives texture. Friends love the cheese cake. We bought a whole cake for a dinner for 4. We couldn’t have enough.

Obsessed with the mini cheesecake ubae tarts!! The consistency is creamy and so delicious and I’m so glad we stopped at this food truck that was located in downtown Waikiki during our trip. I gave it 4 stars for the price which I think is crazy high for tiny tarts but it’s also expected for Oahu. That said, it is still a must try this unique dessert while in Hawaii

This place is REALLY far away from where all the basic tourists like me go to, but wow is it worth the trek! Bought the ube cheesecake and ube cheesecake tarts but honestly feel like I didn’t get enough. The tarts have a nice crunchy butter shell with a creamy kind of thick filling. The cheesecake bowls is much lighter and softer, but both however are absolutely delicious!

The young lady at the register was super nice. Soft serve was great, very robust Ube/pandan flavor. Cheesecake was excellent – my SO who normally isn’t into cheesecake loved it. The crust is something special. Highly recommend the cream puffs as well! You can’t go wrong with any of the desserts here.

We purchased the: Ube pumpkin cheesecake, mini cheesecake tarts, and crinkle cookies to have with some friends, and they were all delicious! We’ll be back

They have soft serve now!!! Dairy-free!

One of our must-go places in Oahu. The soft-serve comes as ube or ube-pandan swirl. Along with the classic ube cheesecake we also tried the Flanbae (classic flan on top of ube cake) and it ube-twist. Ended up having to go back for the soft serve because it’s so good.

Roll cake was a little on the sweet side, and the ube cream puff wasn’t as strong on ube flavor as other items, but that’s just personal taste. They were still really good, just not our favorites.

This place is delicious and they even have cookies packed to travel back home with.

Delicious ube treats. The ube butter mochi was amazing. The ube cheesecake even better. I’ll be back to sample the rest and come back with a better review. Big recommendation here so far.

Parking is free and located in the lot out front. Plenty of surrounding food choices to have before this sweet treat.

My taste buds have changed from decades of eating sweet desserts to now favor savory food items. However, I was lured to this shop by a BOGO free offer for a 4 oz ube cheesecake through the Five Stars marketing platform.

Upon entry, the counter girl greeted us with a smile as I mentioned the BOGO offer which was loaded onto my account. She pointed me to the Five Stars keypad where I entered my phone number then went about browsing their display case of purpleness.

For those who may be unfamiliar with “ube”, it’s actually a regally purple-colored sweet potato. Pronounced “ooh-bey”. In fact, its pronunciation is boldly emblazoned in a purple neon sign on one of this bakery’s walls. (See photo). It’s a mildly sweet and not too starchy sweet potato that is used most commonly by the Filipino community in desserts. The desserts can be made from fresh cooked grated ube or from powder, dependent upon its application.

Luckily, we had just eaten lunch so I didn’t go “hog wild” ordering the mouthwatering ube products. I did get the BOGO free offer for a 4-ounce ube cheese cake and 6 ube crinkle cookies that I’ll pair with a cup of hot black coffee or a Cortado.

The crinkle cookies are light with its somewhat cake-like brownie textured center. But, its ube flavor isn’t particularly intense. As for the ube cheese cake, its cream cheese filling is rich and creamy but I couldn’t taste ube flavor even though it was vividly purple. The graham cracker crust was crumbly and not too sweet to distract from the cream cheese flavor. I was a bit worried if our teeth or tongue would be stained purple from these treats because we just got our teeth cleaned by our dentist. Well, no staining occurred.

We liked their ube products but it’s not something that we crave of would indulge in frequently.

I absolutely love UBAE❗
(Ube = Purple Yam)

Let me start with: You can never go wrong with ube cheesecake!!

Everything here it’s absolutely amazing!

They offer the traditional ube cheesecake, ube cheesecake tarts and ube crinkle cookies.

The ube cheesecake and cheesecake tarts have a divine taste, I love the texture.

The ube crinkle cookies, the presentation is just stunning. That shade of purple with the frost! It taste just as amazing as it looks! The cookie was nice and soft.

I can’t wait to visit again!
