Short Leash Hotdogs & Rollover Doughnuts Reviews

I’ve been a huge fan since I found the food truck in about 2011, but this was my first time to the brick and mortar, and Short Leash did not disappoint! The spot is an awesome vibe in itself, very family friendly with games and stuff. I had the Monika – all beef dogs wrapped in tortillas and bacon then fried and a draft root beer. My kid had the chili dog, I had forgotten they serve the dogs on naan bread. Both meals were amazing! The service was great and so was the price. I can’t wait to get back!

Came in for breakfast on a quiet Saturday morning. Food was absolutely amazing! Ordered the Crispy Dog Breakfast and a black coffee, took a little long for it to reach my table but it was definitely worth the wait. Two spicy-sweet sausages wrapped in fried corn tortillas and covered in scrambled eggs, salsa, and a shockingly spicy dragon sauce. Never had anything quite like this but I’ll definitely be back to get it again.

Wonderful hotdogs and donuts. My daughter and I ordered a couple brats, a donut, fries and a bananas foster shake. They were all excellent. I’m going to have to go back to try other things on their menu. So many things look so good.

Ok I am a chicago guy and my buddy wanted hot dogs. Tells me about this place, so I order the Chiago dog and he gets the pretzel dog with cheese sauce and mustard. Honestly the first bite took me to sweet home Chicago, even though it comes in a pita! The pretzle dog was awsome as well! When you are in the mood for a good dog stop on in with your own dogs as it is very dog friendly!

Excellent food. Pictured is an Olive and an Oliver with french fries, their amazing Passion fruit iced tea, and a Big Blue Van (on tap!). Always a great experience here!!

The food was very delicious. Even bringing it back to the office it was still hot and fresh. The Mac and cheese is my favorite . Beautiful eating/lounge area. Definitely recommend.

Seriously awesome take on unique hot dogs. Tons of options, including vegan and vegetarian options. Some of the best fried pickles and cheese curds I’ve had.

It’s the middle of the week and the notification comes through… In-laws in town this weekend and they want to do lunch on Sunday. Where do you take them? They say they love Simone’s and like to explore unique foods. A little time researching places online and phone calls to trusted friends with helpful recommendations; finally the decision comes down. We have to try Short Leash Hot Dogs and Rollover Donuts. We arrive through the back at noon on Sunday and the outdoor seating is unassuming, understated and comfortable. Wooden tables with covers for shades and hammock swings throughout. There is a woman playing live music in the distance. Calming, beautiful, home. We walk to the counter and are greeted by incredible smells of fresh donuts and something delicious that I can’t quite put my finger on. We look over the menu and immediately are treated with a child-like imagination of all the things a hot dog could be. Smoked Gouda, peanut butter and bbq sauce with cracker jacks? Heck yes. Grilled pears, prosciutto, arugula and goat cheese with arugula? Why not!? (I ordered both) The presentation sent the meal out of the park. To call short Leash Hot dogs would be a disservice. Short Leash makes moments, memories and will take you on a culinary journey that will impress even the most picky of in-laws. You will not be disappointed.

Amazing atmosphere, drinks, hotdogs, and entertainment. Service is kind and attentive and they have a little section of dog stuff for sale
