One of the freshest croissants/pasties you’ll ever try! ♥️✨
Staff were really nice and welcoming. The place is a little small and there’s not many seats inside, but it’s very cozy.
You can enjoy your cup of coffee while working and listening to some awesome tunes (they have good taste in music).

Reasonably priced bakery with a wide selection of pastries, cookies, cakes, and assorted small packaged treats to go. $5 cake slices and $3+ for most individual items. They have outdoor seating but the view is of the gas station and traffic. Decently made treats for the price although on this day the indoor seating felt like it was heated for a very warm day.

Very impressed! Pricing was great. Got a ham & cheese croissant which was delicious. Cafe mocha which was rich/tasty and a chocolate croissant which was good but could’ve used a bit more chocolate. Overall would definitely go again, enjoyed very much.

– this place had really tasty baked goods, the cookies and bear claw were really nice but will honestly say the coffee was not good at all. Very cheap tasting and watered down.
– place was a bit small on the inside and they were really busy, so was cramped full of people. But they did have seating inside and outside.
– place seems to be clean.
– prices really good especially for the area.
– parking is hit or miss in the area depending on time and events going on.
– staff were friendly.
– service was a little slow but only had two people working and they were trying to get the line of 15 people taken care of.
– overall not a horrible first experience. But I myself probably wouldn’t go back. Check them out though to see if you liked them more than me.

Gorgeous bakery! Impressive selection. I got a zatar croissant, it was flakey and perfect. The daily quiche was delicious! Highly recommend.

I’ve bought 3 cakes from this local bakery within 2 years and each time they get better and better! The staff are always friendly, the baked goods are always fresh with quite an assortment to choose from, and my oh my, is their strawberry & crème cake delicious! It’s my favorite cake ever and one I buy every time it’s either my partner’s birthday or mine – we love it! I love going to firehook bakery and hope they thrive as a local business so I can keep buying more cakes from them!

We visited Firehook Bakery on our way out of Alexandria heading back to our home in Virginia Beach on 8/14/2022. We purchased two of their gift bag cookies as we were taking one of the gift bag of cookies to our grandchildren in Fort Belvoir on our trip home. There were 4 decorated cookies with icing. The shapes were large butterfly, ice cream cone, flower, and tulip. The grandchildren loved their cookies, and we had one of ours on our way home that night after we ate dinner, and it was yummy. We didn’t get any other items from the bakery as it was just a quick stop, and we saw it as we were pulling up to a traffic light, and decided to stop in. I definitely recommend their decorated sugar cookies as they taste wonderful, and are not hard.

Great looking and nice variety of pastries and breads. Coffee options and the coffee itself are good. Only two varieties of Smoothies but the Mixed Berry is tasty. Reasonable prices though, for Old Town anyway. Greeted nicely when entering the shop. The outdoor seating feels too close to the parking. They could better delineate their outdoor seating area with a little wall or fence. Otherwise, will definitely be back.

Small space with big flavors. Coffee, pastries, breads, and sandwiches are all delicious. Seating inside and outdoors. This is the kind of coffee shop every community wants. Small parking lot, but plenty of on street parking.
