This place is awesome! They were the only place in Tucson we could find that makes giant donuts. The product was high quality and perfect for a birthday donut (instead of a cake). The customer service was outstanding as well.

Alvernon Donuts earned a repeat customer the other day. Poe, the owner, is a really nice guy, and has been running this shop for 20 years!!!! He strikes up a conversation and makes sure that you end up walking out with exactly the donuts that you were looking for. And the main show – the donuts – were SO delicious. The high quality that you hope to get when you’re craving a donut. (Le Caves, Poe has you beat. Just sayin…) I highly recommend.

I visited this donut shop months ago and have been looking forward to going back ever since. The donuts are not too sugary and don’t feel cakey like the chain ones do they are soft and pillowy with great flavor. The young man on the counter was so helpful and suggested some donuts to try and they were delicious. There’s a twisty cinnamon donut thing that he recommended that was so delicious and I’ve been craving it ever since.

They have the best donuts, plus they have amazing croissants, and jalapeño poppers wrapped in bacon. But what makes them better than any other donut place in Tucson is that they have kolaches. Sausage wrapped in soft dough and baked to perfection! No one else in Tucson sells these, if you’re from the south I’m sure you’ve been missing these!

Donuts were super fresh and decorated in such cute ways!!! Both times we have visited service has been excellent! You cannot beat these delicious donuts at such a reasonable price! Will be back soon!!!

Found this GEM while visiting and came 4 days In A row. Donuts melt in your mouth and taste super fresh. We saw the same people behind the counter each day and they were both as sweet as the Donuts. Super kind and great vibes. We can’t wait to come back next year!!

Not so great… This was the first place I’ve tried in this town and honestly the quality was very low and the donuts were pretty much old and dry. Pricing? Well it was like $14 a dozen… insane

The crew always loves when I pick up a couple dozen donuts. Clean shop friendly staff and great donut selections. And of course delicious!!!

I have been here before, but not since reading Yelp’s best donuts piece a few months back. We arrived in the afternoon so literally, half the donuts were gone (plus the gal said they had several big orders that day). Not to worry, they had enough for us to make a nice varietal fancy dozen. The donuts are VERY fresh and tasty… pillowy melt in your mouth donuts. The shop itself is very old-school looking, and they obviously put their efforts into their donuts more than their decor. The best thing apart from their tasty donuts — the service. It is obviously family run and the daughter of the owner assisted us. She was really sweet, put up with our indecisiveness during selection and all with a smile.

This is the size of a plate, and one of the best apple fritters I’ve ever eaten, other donuts are so soft and fresh, a excellent donut variety and flavors….a must try n return shop, very friendly
