I say this as someone who worked in a donut shop when I was younger… these are not good. My husband bought several types of donuts and they were all undercooked and tiny. Yeast donuts are not supposed to taste doughy, heavy and wet. They should be light fluffy and airy. Either they’re fry vat isn’t getting hot enough or they don’t cook them long enough. I’m so sick I can’t even keep down water right now. And when I say I worked in a donut shop I mean I have permanent nerve damage in my fingertips from frosting freshly fried cake donuts, so I don’t make these criticisms lightly

This place has the BEST donuts ever! Nice atmosphere and a wonderful variety of donuts and muffins. I suggest stopping in for a cup of coffee and several donuts because those gals know how to bake!! If I could give Sugar and Spice Donuts a rating of 10 I certainly would!!

I used to ride my bicycle 40 years ago to the sugar and spice donut shop on Saturday mornings to get donuts. Donuts are still fabulous service was awesome employees were friendly. Just wish they could stay open a little longer and make a few more donuts

After years of eating donuts from around the country, I am yet to find a better donut place.
I don’t live in the area anymore, but these donuts are the one thing I remember about Louisville, Kentucky. The staff are fast and friendly, and the selection is extremely diverse.
Would suggest this place if you’re in the area.

The best donuts in the city, and I’ve had them all. You better get there early though. Selections sell out quick most days. Not uncommon to have a line of people at 5 am when they open.

(Quick review) THE DOUGHNUTS ARE AMAZING! They have a huge variety to select from. I wish I could eat them all. I have only been to the place a few times, and I have always had a great experience. The employee’s were very friendly, and the wait is not that bad even when busy. The prices are pretty good. A lot better than Krispy Kreme. ♂️
The place is in a shopping center that provides it’s own parking, although at times it can get crowded. I’m really not sure if they have a bathroom for costumes, because I always get my food to go. The store is not really that big on the insides, but it holds it’s on. I wonder if they will ever move to their own facility. It would be a lot better. But the only thing I really wish is that the store was closer to my house, so I could eat there all of the time! Well maybe for me that’s not a good idea. good job! A+

Absolutely love this place!!!! Best donuts ive ever ate!!!! Their butterfinger ones r sooo yummy!!!! Only reason its not a 5 star is because sometimes u go in there and their almost or are completely out of donuts. Sometimes i have to call and make sure they still have some left! Only bad thing about it! Above all, amazing donuts and prices!!! You spend 7 dollars on a half dozen at KK when here you can get a dozen for that price.
