Stan’s Donut Shop Reviews

I went a little before 7AM on a rainy day and didn’t have to wait at all. I read a review that said that only the original glazed donuts were worth it, but I wanted to get a variety, as it was my first time going.

The original glazed donuts and the cinnamon twists were so incredibly fluffy. They have to be the best donuts I’ve ever had!! I also got a rainbow chocolate sprinkle, chocolate, glazed old fashion, and maple. These were a little denser, but still soft. They were too sweet for me, but if you have a major sweet tooth, I’d recommend any of them.

Service was quick and the person who helped me was kind so early in the morning.

Though I’d only get the original glazed and cinnamon twists again, I’d happily buy a dozen of each!!

So life is expensive these days. I don’t go out as much anymore. This one is worth it though and it won’t break the bank. This is a fresh, fluffy, light, with just the right amount of sweet maple donut. And their bars are legit gold bar sized donuts. Where can you find a place like this these days. Everything is all mega corporate which is fine, but when you have a place like this nearby, this is where you should go. You go because it is just good and it’s not going to stop being this good.

I’m a huge fan of the donuts here. The glazed donut is light, fluffy and doughy all at the same time. Also not as sweet as other places. Probably my favorite glazed donut and I’ve tried many.

The chocolate with almond was excellent too. The chocolate tasted like real chocolate and not the spread the other places use.

Sadly I don’t live anywhere close to this gem but would come back here again and again.

Glazed or sugar donuts for about one dollar you can bite into one of the most tastiest soft donut in Santa Clara,California . so delicious , you can dip in milk or coffee. you will surely enjoy this donut. located at Mariposa shopping center at Homestead road. before you leave grab a
box for takeout.

Nothing scratches the itch quite like a good classic donut. I’m not sure why, but when I crave sweets I crave DONUTS. Traveling through the Bay Area I had to check out the best donut shop and Yelp told me this was it!
We cruised in early and got half a dozen fresh and hot donuts. They literally melt in your mouth. I’ve never had a better classic donut than these!

I’m absolutely IN LOVE with Stan’s donuts! my first visit was on a Saturday morning at around 9+, while the queue was starting to form, the queue moves very fast and i was placing my order within a short 5minute. The variety they have is amazing. The Jelly donut is so fluffy and a perfect mix of amazing. The glazed is such a wonderful classic, not too sweet, not too thick, perfectly fluffy and melt’s in your mouth when you get a freshly made one.

I dined in at the counters and happily watched Abe, one of the staff, knead the donut dough. We were so happy with our donuts! Abe saw us pointing at the donut holes and asked if we wanted them (even though they typically only have it on the menu on monday, tuesday, wednesdays as it is more time consuming to cook them). We were over the moon when he decided to make us some donut holes.

Some other customers at the counter seats were also overjoyed to be able to snag a couple of donut holes that morning. The service from all the staff at Stan’s is great despite their popularity and crowd. They made my day!!!

As a tourist from Singapore, I have to say Stan’s donuts beats any other donuts i’ve tried in any other country. I visited Stan’s on two occasions during my two month stay in the bay area. I’m now home in Singapore and purposefully writing a review as i’m missing the taste of their fresh donuts. Highly highly highly recommended! Whatever time you visit, however long the queue might be, it’s gonna be worth it.

On a more practical note, parking is readily available outside of Stan’s. Please bring cash, i dont think they accept cards. Please go in hungry and try their glazed and jelly donuts. If you are not a fan of something sweet, you could also ask for a plain one that is unglazed, unsugared. Avoid chocolate or other coated donuts if you are not a fan of sweet stuff too. They have the perfect donut for everyone and differing levels of sweet tolerance!

(In case you’ve heard of Randy’s donuts in Los Angeles, the famous one that appeared in the Ironman movie, i have to say, i’ve tried that too and Stan’s beats that by multifolds!!!)

Finally had the chance to try Stan’s donut shop. Came here in the morning at about 5:30Am and there was already a line starting.
But atleast when the shop opened up, the line moved fast
I got the glazed and chocolate donuts, I can recommend the glazed donut it was really good and cakey, one or 2 will easily fill you up.
Their coffee wasn’t bad, wasn’t amazing either, just regular coffee

Only disappointment is why it opens so late, maple leaf on Saratoga avenue opens at 4:30Am and bad places to sit and eat inside ,

Would come back here if it’s on my way through but not to drive out just for donuts

Unparalleled excellence. Stan’s has perfected their product and provides it consistently. I take donuts seriously and this place, in almost every category, makes the best you’ll have. Bring cash and expect, but don’t be discouraged by the line; they’re efficient and it moves quickly.

WOW. I am actually extremely sad that I won’t be returning to this place. Stan’s was the place even myself, who is not a donut lover, ended up becoming a weekend regular.

NOTE TO BIZ: I know the cost of everything (especially raw materials & ingredients) have gone up, but customers are NOT stupid. I would much rather prefer a price increase and expect the same or better quality. Instead you keep the price the same and cut more than 50% of the ingredients. Terrible choice. Photo of just my jelly filled donut says it all (I ordered 5: ate one, disected the 2nd to take photos and threw it all away). I think every one of your customers knows why they go for the jelly filled donut. Well this definitely is a reason NOT TO GO. The main reason why our group didn’t even finish the 1.5 dozen, your dough batter has significantly changed as well (which makes things worse because your glazed donut continues to crumble apart!!) SO disappointing.

Great dough – The texture of the donut is different from all other shops and is fluffy yet chewy (in a good manner). There is always people lined up, so give yourself enough time
