They have some really good donuts here! The shop has no signs except a small sidewalk sign advertising Breakfast and Lunch and no posted hours. Inside there are no posted prices. The Old Fashioned was a little dry and I wouldn’t recommend. The rest were great, though. Rough neighborhood, be careful!

It ought to just be called Shay’s because there is a LOT more than coffee and donuts. It’s got filling meals, candy, snacks, ice cream, snow cones, cigars, and a beautiful drink selection! And–best part yet–a sense of pride and community. My first time here, one guy came out and swept up some litter. A couple people were chatting while their food was cooking. And when my dude and I sat in the patio seating, the guy sweeping had a conversation with a pedestrian. Then, someone from inside came out, and then everyone started working on the tiny garden in front, inspiring my dude to pitch in. (It’s happening while I write this.) So, come to Shay’s to satisfy your hunger and meet your neighbors. : )

Amazing food!!! Stooped today because i saw their signs for Soul Food Sunday and was blown away with portion and taste! Had the Turkey Wings, Macaroni and Cheese and Red Beans and Rice and huge portions and so good!

Best Donuts on the Southside hands down I love all of them they melt in your mouth I will recommend this place to anybody if you not from st. Louis please if you’re traveling here and just visiting do yourself a favor and stop by here and get the best donuts in St Louis

Seems to be a one man operation, so opening time is sometimes off. I only go in for the donuts, but they Have various snacks and drinks expected at a corner mart.

it’s winter why is the opening times false?? literally stood outside for 30min waiting. Not ok, opening time is 7am it should be 7am if winter effects these hours then post that.
