Rise’n Roll Bakery — Downtown Indy Reviews

New upscale donut shop downtown. Lot of parking in garage. Stay 1st floor. One basic donut with different toppings. No cake or old fashioned donuts. Clean and stylish shop. Good seating and friendly staff. A mixed dozen is about $ 18 dollars. Originally for Ft. Wayne’s Amish community.

The donuts were amazing. I don’t know which one I loved the most. The lemon one (white powder sugar) was a nice combination of sweet and sour. The cinnamon sugar one was delicious as well, although a bit messy. And my personal favorite was the crunchy one. It has a salty flavor, that together with the chocolate and caramel create a delicious donut

Having been a huge fan of Rise N Roll ever since they had done an event with Yelp in the past, I was super excited to visit their newest location in downtown Indy. I took my family to attend their Grand Opening in Broad Ripple so we were even more excited for this location!

To all those folks in downtown Indy who have been missing out on Rise N Roll, you weep no longer! This gorgeous donut shop is located just off the circle and right next to a super convenient parking garage and directly across from 16 Bit+ Arcade. I don’t know if I’m super lucky or something, but each time we’ve stopped by here there has been some parking so no worries there. Upon approaching the entrance you’ll see some beautiful wood tables and chairs set up outside for your donut and coffee enjoyment. There are also water dishes for the thirty puppers walking by as well. It’s a perfect spot to do some city watching or meeting up with some friends. This summer I’ve been enjoying watching the beer drinking peddlers going by lol.

One thing I don’t think most think about when they think of Rise N Roll: their great canned goods selection and other baked goodies! If you love peaches their canned peaches are AMAZING!!! The entire family LOVES their cookies. Their chocolate crinkle cookies are perfect with a glass of milk (of your choice; I drink Oat milk and it’s great with these cookies!). I also have a borderline addiction issue with their Pecan Butter Crunch. It basically their version of a toffee and it’s WONDERFUL!!!! My only problem (and this may actually be my savior) is it only comes in 8 oz. packages and that doesn’t last though the first night. You see my dilemma…

I went for the grand opening. The service was quick and friendly. They were offering free samples. The prices were reasonable. This was my first time, I got a chocolate peanut butter cream filled donut. It was wonderful, I got my daughter her favorite chocolate covered sprinkle and she was very happy! Everything looked fantastic!

Drove past this on the way to Bluebeards—- made the spontaneous choice to hit this up for breakfast the next morning- SUCH a good decision! It fed us and kept us in our “sugar high”for the entire three days of the event!!
Cherry pie
Dutch apple pie
Assorted donuts (yes- one of them is called a Crack donut)!!
Homemade jams
The best chocolate cookies EVER (we even shared them with our booth neighbors)

If you’re hooked on carbs or pastries- this is a definite “must”!

I was in Indianapolis for a few days and i only had one chance before leaving to try something sweet on my mom’s birthday. I found this place and bought a couple doughnuts. Those were the best doughnuts I ever had! Definitely worth stopping by for something sweet!

We love having a closer location of this delicious Amish bakery here in downtown Indy. Our usual favorite is their “crack donut” – a traditional donut soaked in caramel and covered with cinnamon powder sugar. They also have canned goods and other bakery items such as breads, cinnamon rolls, cookies, and so much more! There is a public parking garage adjacent to their storefront, but we typically just do street parking nearby.

I won 12 dozen donuts on Instagram for my employees. When I picked them up the employees where so knowledgeable and friendly. I had to take advantage of the opportunity and grab cinnamon rolls because of the luscious cream cheese frosting. The donuts were huge and the perfect texture. These are truly Indy’s best donuts and rolls.

It’s hard for me to break from my Long’s loyalty, but there is room for two magnificent donut shops in Indianapolis. While I am sure that Rise’n Roll has many fantastic donuts – I come here for one reason. The cinnamon/sugar/caramel donut holes. I’m not even sure what they’re called. I just call them delicious.

I went, the shelves were pretty bare but I was able to get a few things. The candied jalapeno bbq sauce is great! The chocolate chip cookies were a hit too. I also got a cold brew coffee which was pretty good and the girl behind the counter was sweet and personable.
