I was told my a friend I had to try Derby Pie while in Kentucky. I explained this to the young lady working and she said they have triple crown pie, so I ordered one. It is very good. The crust is so flaky and delicious.
The store was very busy but moved quickly. Seemed like one of those place where everyone knows everyone.
Everyone was very kind and friendly.

Best donuts in Louisville! I grew up in St. Matthew’s and my mom would get them for us at least once a week. I always loved watching the rotating cake display and have fond memories going to this bakery with both of my grandmothers. Anytime I am back in town, I will always try to stop to get a Plehn’s Bakery donut or two. The last time I was there, there were still two of the same employees working that I remember from at least ~15+ years ago!

Ordered 3 dozen baseball decorated donuts for my sons’s first birthday party! There was one box where a couple of them looked like the frosting had melted but otherwise they all were great! Tasted amazing and turned out really cute!
Overall I was really happy considering I had asked three other places locally to do this and they all said no!

Sorry for the bad photos, they don’t do the Brownie Supreme justice. It was so delicious! We also picked up some spice cookies and a lemon meringue tart that were amazing.

I recently ate a cake from here. It was for an 11 year old birthday girl. It looked absolutely beautiful. The cake was moist and tasty. I’d recommend ordering your cakes from here. The one We had was a chocolate cake /w white icing.♥️

Best bakery in town!! My wife and I had enough weddings cakes samples to make you sick……. but Plehn’s, was the absolute best weddings cake I have ever had. I’m not just saying that because it was our wedding. I would recommend Plehn’s to anyone looking for the best tasty pleasures!!

My sister was in awe of her cake. She was amazed by the looks of it!! She cut the cake tonight and was even more in awe! The bride and groom couldn’t have been more happy and excited about this cake! Loved everything about it!! Thank you for everything and I will see you all again!

The staff was very helpful and patient with us as we were first time visitors, even though it was busy! The people also there to get their goodies were very nice too and gave good recommendations. It’s the kind of place you’d want to bring your s/o or your grandkids. We loved it!

Wonderful bakery with soooooo many options to choose from – everything is delicious !!!!!! “Thumb print cookies” & “Merenge shell cookies” are two of my favorites ! They also see Mardi Gras themed cupcakes !
