LaMar’s Donuts and Coffee Reviews

The donuts here are almost too good. My wife and I did not need to eat a dozen giant donuts in a day…. but we did. And like a said, they were giant, delicious, and I’ve never seen a donut with that much filling ever. Trust me, you’ll need some coffee, which is also pretty good.

Best glaze donut you will ever have! ++ everything else there is amazing, but dude those glaze donuts are life changing! It’s a must when we have anybody come visit! Also works great for a birthday “cake”.

Really great regular donuts, cake donuts, and specialty donuts. We usually do a mix with a cinnamon roll, some glazed, and some old fashioned. The staff are always super friendly and helpful too. A dozen are about $25 or so.

Only recommendation is I would love to see coconut options!

ALWAYS OUT OF DONUTS by 9AM. The past two trips that we have made here with my 3 yr old, they are completely out of donuts for kids and most donuts all the way around. We were there a little after 9am, and the whole place is wiped out. They only make one batch of donuts and that is it. They do not continuously make them throughout the morning. The donuts are very good, but once they are gone they are gone. We will be finding another donut shop to go to moving forward. Not a great business model, and we were not the only ones leaving the store due to no inventory.

I feel so poor saying this…. But damn these are overpriced… I grew up eating Lamar’s and even when I was making minimum wage at age 16, their prices seemed more reasonable… but when did a bear claw become $5 … or $50 for a dozen assortment … voodoo donuts ranked one of the best in the nation isn’t even that expensive … a dozen specialty for $25… maybe do the topless donut thing again and I can see paying $50 for a dozen

First stop at Lamar’s. I don’t live in the area but have heard they are pretty popular. I paid $31 for a dozen of donuts – totally not worth it. I was shocked but smiled and finished my purchase. Not sure what the hype is about, but I’ll keep my business at the Donut Haus in Loveland where I can get two dozen for this price and they are much better.

Stopped by today 5/27 so my daughter could use her free donut coupon from her teacher for getting good grades. She got a chocolate covered raised donut. I got one of the same for my son. That one donut was $2.24. I was blown away. Why so expensive? I guess that explains why we were the only ones there. I’ll just stick to buying a whole dozen day old donuts from King Soopers for $3.50

I really dont understand why this place is very popular. My husband and I visited for the first time because of the good reviews, and we ruined our sunday morning. We went there around 10am and there were barely some donuts left. Some didnt have lable. We ordered four donuts and a crew was rude when we say donut names. I ordered an iced americano which was on the menu. When I said iced americano, the crew looked at me like he never heard about that word. I told him twice and finally he told me they dont have that kind of menu but hot one. So I told him hot americano and he gave me just normal black coffee already brewed in their container. They should remove that menu if they cannot use the espresso machine! Donuts were expensive and a bit dry, we both had bad mood from their attitude. I didnt drink the black coffee because it was not what I wanted. We just wasted our money and time. We will not go there ever again.

I love the donuts that they have at Lamar’s 🙂 they are so fresh and they’re not dry like other donuts that you might find at King Soopers or safeway. My favorite donut to get here is the Cinna twist it’s absolutely delicious. I highly recommend if you’re looking for a great donut place and okay spending more than you would at King Soopers or safeway.

PLATTEVILLE SELF STORAGE

Extreme difficulty with online ordering system. It did not work for me and I drove an hour to pick up my order that was not ready. I had other issues with with the system as well. Even the counter personnel informed me that they have been having issues with the online ordering system and their concerns presented to management had fallen on deft ears. Love your Doughnuts hate your on line ordering system. Long Drive with frustrations in the middle with morning traffic to deal with as well.
