Best donuts in San Diego county. Good enough to drive 30 minutes to get them once a month or so. Get there early, tho, they’re often sold out by noon.

Been ordering via doordash recently, and their food is fantastic. Their apple fritters are outstanding, the (huge) bear claws are great, along with any of their other donuts I’ve tried.

Small little shop that has really good ham and cheese croissants. The coffee is good. The only reason that I give it 3 due to the small location and also 3/4 of the times homeless people are hanging outside the location.

I had a croissant and an apple fritter…. couldn’t finish either… The croissant did not taste good and the apple fritter had the thickest layer of sugar…

Fast service. Fairly low prices. Donuts are generally OK. They are generally fresh and not too mushy or insufficiently cooked dough. The key areas that they could upgrade are a lack of flaky or crunchy premium products and a good chocolate donut. Their chocolate icing they use on top is at best of medium low quality grade. Above the brown wax with sugar in it most local donut shops use but not close to the quality you might put on a cake or at better donut shops and bakery shops. How about a donuts with plenty of walnuts and cinnamon and glazing. So Sam, sell some cheep stuff too but other people will pay and come back more for premium better food products others don’t offer.
For fast, cheep, average quality donuts, Sam’s is another place to go.
