Old fashioned Donut shop where locals chit chat about their day with staff. Donuts were ok. Nothing spectacular to the Palette. Fascinated by the Ancient Cash register. Never saw one used in the modern times. It was cutie. Bring Cash!

I stop at Holt’s often to get a couple dozen glazed donuts for my job and they never disappoint! Speedy service and reasonable prices, but go in early if you can because they do sell out sometimes.

Excellent local donut shop! We stopped here on our way out of town for the weekend and we both loved it! Soft, fluffy glazed donuts reminded me of the shop I used to go to as a kid. The frosted blueberry cake donut was great – my wife said it was the best she has ever had! And their prices are much cheaper than the chain stores. We’re definitely interested in coming back!

Very cute old fashion Donut Shop for the locals. They have the best price for donuts in the area. Get there early to see all the many fun options of donuts they have. Creamed filled, chocolate, cake donuts, glazed…to name a few.

I have been eating these donuts since before I could speak the words “donuts.. good.”
For me, that is over 40 years (ok, actually pushin 50 now) So long that I feel guilty that I have never written them a review. I have however,
for my entire life told people, even other donut shop people that there is good and decent donuts… And then there are Holts Do-nuts. The absolute BEST (I’ll go ahead and say it.) In the world… Ever.
Sure you can also get an egg sandwich at DD. And yeah Lamar’s glazed was a begrudgingly decent stand-in for those few years we lost Holts. But nothing, no where, can compare to Holt’s perfect doh-to-glaze ratio and flavor note of their base glazed. And seriously, don’t get me started about their Devil’s Food. Any other donut shop you can get… Chocolate. Pffft. What is that? Well, it ain’t Devil’s Food Chocolate, I can tell ya that!
Just go there, early. Or call ahead the night before. I have seen the owner in there at 9-10 at night prepping for the next day.
What was she doing in there, you may ask?
Conjuring delicious spells and tasty magic, I would guess.
It is the only logical answer.
If you don’t think the Do-nut you get is fantastic, then something has broke your taste buds. Seek help immediately!
Oh and to compare Holts to Grandview Price Chopper donuts? Blasphemy! Someone should be ashamed of themselves.

Birthday donuts today for my teenager. There was a post on the Kansas City Reddit about the best donuts in town. Holts had fifteen upvotes! The people in this house are partial to goopy pudding in the middle of their donuts.
Holt’s Donuts is located in Grandview MO, a suburb just South of Kansas City. Easily accessible via 71 Hwy.
The employee was so helpful and nice. She was wearing her mask under her nose when I came in but pulled it up as soon as I entered. The selection at Holts is smaller compared to Lamar’s or Fluffy Fresh but obviously home-made and super fresh.
These are melt in your mouth, I don’t regret it for a minute donuts. The chocolate frosting on the long john stood out as not too sweet and just the absolute right consistency.

I went here for the first time today and let me tell you it was a treat. They make all their donuts from scratch . Looks like the place has been in business for over a half a century. This place has lots of love in it. The ladies there are sweet and kind and were very friendly. I couldn’t imagine a better donut shop in the area. You could tell this family locally owned business puts the customers needs and wants first. Jeez the dozen was only 9 dollars. Then the lady gave me I think 3 free donuts with the two milks and the 15 donuts I had it only cost me 15 dollars. I highly recommend this place. 10 out of 10 will be back again. Oh and my favorites were the pudding filled long John’s and the blueberry iced cake donuts. I will definitely be back.

So I called holts donuts around 8 a.m. and placed a order for two glazed donuts and when I drove all the way from downtown to Grandview this kind lady didn’t know nothing about my glazed donuts and it was the owner who was supposed to have them put to the side for me.
