Tried the apple fritter. Unfortunately way too dry and dense for my tastes. The service, however, was excellent and the coffee was pretty good too!

This place is inside the Penobscot Building, through the main entrance and up the stairs. I stopped in here for lunch with some friends one day while attending an event Downtown. I got a BLT, which was excellent. The others who were with me enjoyed their sandwiches as well. Since many of the other lunch places around here are closed, this is a good, well-priced option for a simple lunch.

Absolutely terrible I was given a watery, buttered bagel. Paid for a bagel with cream cheese…the health department definitely needs to go there ASAP
It’s Not Rocket Science
Good prices, friendly service, tasty coffee and donuts with a large selection of made to order sandwiches, drinks and other snacks. Somewhat hard to find if you’re not familiar with the building. Go through the north entrance of the Penobscot building on W Fort St.

Thanks Karen for calling our order ahead We had your donuts at the Christmas tree lighting several times that night. Now we get to come to your shop .We almost missed it. I hope during summertime you have later hours. Now we don’t have to wait to go to Windsor firework festival. Thanks

I love this place so much! Whenever I’m looking for a quick snack or lunch I can stop on by here for the absolute BEST customer service and be served some really delicious food for great prices! By far, my favorite donut place!!!

It’s a shame that you don’t know this place exists unless you know. It’s hidden in the Penobscot building. The doughnuts here are the best tasting that I’ve had in Detroit. And for a good price. I’ve gotten a dozen doughnuts for less than $12.00. I got a cheeseburger, chips, and drink for less than $7.00. The cheeseburger was okay, for $2.99 you get what you pay for. But the burger was not awful, it hit the spot. I’m going back for the egg and cheese breakfast sandwich sometime soon. Rhis is a great little shop to stop at for breakfast, lunch, or a snack. I highly recommend!
