The cupcakes here are truly COLOSSAL. The service was quick, and they have seating for if you want to eat your cupcakes there. For $5 for each cupcake, they were appropriately large. However, I found that the cream was a bit too thick and that altogether the cupcakes weren’t fantastic. I’d say it’s still a good place to try for yourself, though!

I’ll Five Star any small business that’s out there trying.
Honest review: We order two cupcakes and two macarons. The cupcakes are huge. Presentation is on point. I think I got the Popping Bottles & Cream Cheese Chocolate. I have no idea what flavor popping bottles is but it was a good cupcake. The chocolate cupcake was great!!
The macarons were also huge. They were okay. The shells were very delicate and completely hollow. The filling was very moist, which may have also led to the cookie shattering upon first bite. The cookies n cream one was overly cream filling flavored. The raspberry lemon one was good. They were busy when we went in and our server was pleasant and very helpful. I would go back when in the area to try different flavors! Definitely give it a try.

Visiting my friend from Pittsburgh. I’m not usually a cupcake person but had to try these. They were too beautiful to pass up. They are a little pricey, but worth it in my opinion. First we tried the Sunday Morning. Cinnamon cake, maple cream cheese icing, with bacon on top. Literally the best cupcake I’ve ever had. Moist, fluffy cake. Light, not-too-sweet icing. Flavors perfectly melded. Might have to buy a box to bring home to Pittsburgh. I’ll definitly be back next time I’m in Cleveland.

The place is really pretty, good service, but the cupcake we tried wasn’t amazing. In overall a good experience… And in their defense we only tried one cupcake… The “blue velvet”. Need to give it a second chance. Great ambiance.

I’ll have to agree with the other recent reviews that the cupcakes just aren’t that great and especially for the cost of $5 per cupcake. Even the water bottles were $3! Do price aside, the cupcakes were dry and nothing amazing. But the staff was nice and the decor of the place is really fun. So… maybe go here, split a cupcake and take some pictures.

I’ve been to Colossal Cupcakes numerous times and have never had a negative experience but the review below is specific:

On December 8th, our varsity girls basketball team visited Colossal Cupcakes after scoring a great W at Rocket Mortgage Fieldhouse. We celebrated by bringing our large party in midday. Always a dicey decision with a large party. However, the two staff members working did a fantastic job taking care of our group. Everyone got a delicious treat (mostly cupcakes, but a couple cookies and a brownie) and hand fun hanging out for a bit.

Thank you from the Riverside Beavers!

Absolutely love Colossal Cupcakes and cannot wait to get back, though with a smaller group.

Butter cream icing was better than the cream cheese icing for sure. Plenty of options and open late. Need a little help on the ambiance – a little messy with boxes everywhere.

The decor is fun, and the location is fab, but don’t go spending $5 a cupcake if you expect a good treat! This is not worth the calories. If you’re going for location, ambiance, service, or ‘gram pics, then fine. However, if you’re counting cals or coins, you should go elsewhere. Frankly, Heinen’s grocer had better treats IMO.

Just left… The seating (tho pretty) was sloppy. The chairs and tables were all over the place and looks cluttered. I walked in and was greeted with the stalest “hi”, I’ve had all year. I purchased 2 cupcakes FOR ELEVEN DOLLARS and so far, the one (chocolate cupcake) I’ve bitten into is quite dry and the pultry amount of icing is underwhelming and slightly flavorless.

So it never occurred to me, that they named themselves Colossal Cupcakes, because their cupcakes are massive! And surprisingly, the flavor wasn’t lost in all the delicious density and girth.
