The good: Food! Very tasty and delicious. Ate every bite of my kimchi fried rice. Came out fast and hot. Full of mouthwatering goodness and I would defiantly get it again.

The bad: We came in at a pretty slow time and service was fast and kind of push from the get go. Mary had to be asked to refill the water glass, never refilled it again and it sat empty for 1/2 the meal. Diet Coke was never refilled or offered until she brought the check. Had to flag down another staff member for a to go container. The 3 stars is strictly a result of the horrible service, because the food and cleanliness of the facility are on point.

The pastries are amazing and so delicious the restaurant food is okay. Our steak was very salty and over seasoned… my Omelet was pretty good, not great (overcooked). The grilled biscuit was good.

Aloha; so if your from Hawaii you already know how great this place is, from puff pastrys to Haupia pie you will never be disappointed. Bit they also have the best food, breakfast food all day along with great local favorites. I still love the original location the best but that’s just me.

Nice friendly service. Had the 2 Eggs Special with Portuguese Sausage was great. The breakfast rolls were delicious
Don’t order the baked potatoes, they were dry and hard.

We came here for dinner with our friends who recommended this place, and it did not disappoint! We enjoyed our hearty meal, truly comfort food. Afterwards, we took home some coco puffs to enjoy for later.

After hearing about this place, it was on my to-do list for quite some time. Compared to Tiny Pyramid across the street, the selection is much greater, and the prices are a lot cheaper with much better products. I would highly recommend the bakery, and will definitely be going back.

If you’re already sitting at a dining table, and you want to take some pastry items to go, you should be able to do that. It’s all in the same restaurant yet we were told they cannot accommodate and we have to stand in the pastry line. Very strange considering you’re already there. Is it that out of the way to ring up some pastry to go along with your food? i don’t get it. Foodwise, I usually only come here for breakfast or pastry. first time trying different things on the menu. It was decent but not outstanding. Mushroom chicken was a new item and the chicken was moist yet flavorful. Very delicious. The cheese burger was just meh. Service was slow and the water was not refilled the whole time we were there.

Best breakfast restaurant(near the Honolulu airport). Formerly Sam Choy’s Breakfast lunch and crab, this is the second location for Liliha Bakery(original location on Liliha street). Their bakery is famous for their coco puffs, which are a pastry filled with chocolate pudding and topped with chiffon. Excellent breakfast menu, Portuguese sausage, eggs, rice. Waffles and delicious pancakes.
Lunch/dinner
Garlic chicken plate: generous portions of pan fried garlic chicken topped with brown gravy, two scoops of rice and potato/macaroni salad.
Oxtail soup with saimin noodles- feature item, savory broth with huge meaty chunks of oxtail.

Sat down for dinner on a weeknight as we previously have only done their puffs to-go.
Ordered the saimin, fried chicken, chicken karaage, ox tail soup. Service was friendly and yes their butter rolls were so delish we decided to pay for the extra ones. The hubs ordered the ox tail soup as that’s is his go-to dish when available. Our son is allergic to peanuts and we kinda knew it would have it since we’ve had it at the Alley before. So luckily my husband found it in his soup before attempting to let our son try the broth. But I think it should be noted on the menu for future guests with allergies.
Other than that, the chicken were both delish and the saimin was pretty good.
I’d return for sure when we are visiting the island again.
