This is a hidden gem for sure. I had the Rebel Sandwich and it was amazing! I’m limiting my meat intake so the Soyrizo sandwich was the best option for me. It was by far the best bagel sandwich I’ve ever had. What a creative sandwich. It was fresh, rich and flavorful. Way to go Chef! One of the best cafes in Chicagoland. I highly recommend.

First off the cafe has a great vibe, love the decor and furniture. I had their special, the turkey sandwich and it was honestly delicious. Thick slices of turkey, bacon and the raisin bread is a great combo. Picture does not do the sandwich justice. Highly recommend

Cozy neighborhood spot in the Bridgeport community where mostly everyone knew each other. Loved that vibe and the owners were super friendly. Really enjoyed chatting about the Chinatown community. Tasty coffee and delicious Turkey sandwich (pictured). Work friendly spot with patio seating too.

This cafe is a great place to get some work done! It has a very chill atmosphere, set by lots of natural light and chill low-fi beats on the speakers. Ample seating options with plenty of outlets on the walls or in the floor. I had an egg and cheese bagel that was tasty and a chai latte. Great prices on drinks and pretty reasonable prices for food. Tons of free street parking. I will be back!

I took a walk down the street from my home with my baby in a stroller. We like to go for daddy/daughter walks so mom can have some time to herself.

Well, I discovered a treasure on that walk! 8A5E Cafe was hiding in plain site.

When I went in, the staff greeted me right away. They were so friendly. They served up a fantastic chicken pesto panini and EXCELLENT iced coffee. Wow!

I then sat and enjoyed my meal at a nice clean table near the front of the cafe. There, I spoke with the friendly staff who helped answer questions about the art building which this cafe sits inside. So helpful and kind!

Thank you for a great experience. My daughter and I will see you all again soon!

Great (strong) coffees and teas. I’m a particular fan of their hibiscus tea. I am also a fan of their pesto chicken panini. I am hoping they can expand their food and bakery options. I also love being able to sit outdoor at the Bridgeport Art Center when the weather is nice to enjoy.

Great, rich tasting coffee – never the burnt taste. This is a family-favorite spot for yummy bagel sandwiches and delicious seasonal soups (especially the ginger carrot if you’re lucky to try it).

LOVE this spot! Very cool cafe with exceptionally tasty coffee. James was very personable, patient, funny and helpful. Definitely recommend this gem.

Cool place! Ample outdoor seating to be COVID friendly, and the coffee and prices are good. I see also they have tech support for electronics. Which is a cool unique spin on a coffee shop. Have some coffee while they repair your iPad screen? Cool.

Can’t wait to come again
