THE ABSOLUTE BEST DONUTS I’VE HAD!!!
Whenever I’m in the chi, I stop at this joint! I love cake donuts & they have a large variety to choose from.
They ALSO sell a huge yeast donut the size of a average sized man’s head. Lol
The bonus is it’s attached to the best rib joint in the city!!!

I have been patronizing this donut shop for 20 years and in the last few years it has continued to go down; from the attitude of staff (not welcoming/NEVER smiling) to the quality of donuts. Saturday morning I got a dozen donuts and those donuts tasted like they were made at least 24 hours prior to being sold (far from fresh). I was extremely disappointed! I could have been more satisfied with a donuts from Dunkin’ (that’s how BAD) they were. Their breakfast sandwiches and smoothies will keep them afloat because the donuts are far from what they use to be!

The staff was patient, interactive, friendly and sooo much more!! It was my 1st time visiting this place and I can say hands down the best doughnuts I have ever had they were fresh, moist, soft and not sweet with a good variety to boot!! When I say I went in for one doughnut ended up with a half dozen!! The good atmosphere alone made me want to spend more money but the good quality product along with the great staff made it even better and made me want to come back!! I live a bit away but will definitely be incorporating this spot in a weekly rotation!!

I drive from anywhere in Chicago or even the outlying suburbs to come here. Their donuts are the best handmade homemade with love by the same people forever. I recommend if you like donuts then you come here and you eat these and I swear you will never go anywhere else.

My favorite shop in the city for donuts! These donuts are so DELICIOUS that I’ve purchased them for parties like my own birthday party, I bought a dozen for my friends and a big one for the candles. I’m also in love with the pineapple glazed which I’ve never seen anywhere else. Their apple fritters are legit with pieces of apple within and heavy glaze.
The one thing I will grouse about is that their coffee is just typical orange pot coffee, so I usually go and get my coffee somewhere else. The donuts are too good to dunk as they say… But I still like having a hot cup on the side. You might just want to consider getting your coffee elsewhere.

If you’re looking for a homemade old school absolutely delicious donut, DAT is the only place to go in Chicago and the near suburbs! I honestly can say there is no other place that can even compete! I will drive an hour for these donuts now that I live in the suburbs! Blueberry, chocolate glazed and regular glaze are my favorite and the glazed donut balls!
