Vosen’s Bread Paradise Reviews

Tried this place with 3 other people for a quick breakfast. I ordered the chocolate caroline, raspberry German donut, and a cinnamon roll. They were great. Visually all the bakery items looked fresh and a good selection. This store also sells delicacies from Germany. The service was friendly and since we were buying for multiple people they gave us a couple free bakery items. I’ll definitely be back for my next visit.

Until I saw a few posts on social media, I thought this was a place that only sold fresh bread. I was pleasantly surprised to find out that it was like a mini cafe/bakery/convenience store. The ladies were super nice and gave us a free dessert for the amount of bagels we purchased. Will definitely be back to try the maple donut!

Came in out of curiosity. Best pesto chicken sandwich I’ve ever had. Tried a few of the pastries and they are absolutely delicious and just enough sweetness that it’s enjoyable. I will be a forever customer and In time I will try everything on the menu.

This is such a great place! It’s very close to the true German experience. it’s fairly accessible, with a ramp outside. I did not use the bathroom so I can’t speak to that accessibility. The people who work there are helpful, friendly, attentive and kind. I enjoyed the whole experience even though I can’t eat any of it. I bought treats for my partner who’s German and missing home. They make her so happy. She lights up and I can watch the food melt into her mouth. It looks incredible. I’ll include pictures. I can’t personally attest to the taste or quality of the food but the place is fantastic and has brought some joy to a very sad and lonely soul so I’m very happy Vosen’s exists.

They also have an area full of prepackaged German treats and a place you can eat a nice sandwich and a pastry. I’ll add more details next time.

Delicious German bakery with a huge assortment of baked goods, sandwiches, breakfast, coffee/coffee drinks, and market goods.

We stopped in in the morning to pick up some pastries and coffee. They have a full selection of baked goods, including German-style donuts, crostini’s, croissants, and bagels. They also have a full selection of fresh baked breads.

We got a maple donut, raspberry donut, coffees, and a cherry strusel. The donuts were flakey and chewy and fluffy and so good. They have a classic custard filling with various flavors on top (like the maple) or top and inside (raspberry/other fruits). The maple wasn’t artificial tasting and had a light cinnamon sugar topping on it as well. It was one of the best donuts I’ve ever had. The custard filling is tasty and a perfect ratio to the donut dough. My partner’s raspberry one was also custard filled, with additional raspberry filling.

The coffees were a nice break from the hotel coffee, delicious, fresh, and great tasting.

The cherry strusel was also delicious, especially warmed up. The cherry filling had whole sour cherries and didn’t taste like it was simply out of a can. The topping was crumbly, buttery, and delicious.

Highly recommend stopping in. Theres also a full market with German/Swiss/European goods along with “day-old breads” that came at a steep discount. The shop was busy with locals, always a good sign in the morning during the work week. The woman working the counter was polite, efficient, and helpful.

5/5

Thank you so much! We tried the marzipan braided pastry, chocolate pastry and another with cream cheese and another with custard. Delicious! We also shopped their market and I am so excited to try out the food we bought plus the rye bread!

Nice selection or Rittersport chocolate bars (gets them 1 star) @ 100% markup to high retail. Don’t bother going in after 5 pm – so even though they had bagels, the couldn’t make anything with them b/c they’ve “turned off their oven b/c they’re closing soon…” (like an hour later). Staff were inattentive & rude – don’t bother stopping unless you like to pay for parking & be condescended to by staff after being ignored by them, while you’re the only person in front of them. There are many other BETTER bakeries (Tulie) close by that are actually GRATEFUL for your business. This place doesn’t deserve a look from you – nothing to see here; head to either one of Tulie’s locations close by – you’ll be glad that you did!

This place is incredible! I ordered a breakfast sandwich (ham, Swiss, and egg on a jalapeños cheddar bagel) and a cup of coffee. They threw in a homemade pastry on the house. Bagel sandwich was 10/10, will be dreaming about their food until my next visit. Great job and customer service all around! Thank you Vosen’s!

We wandered into Vosen’s the first morning in SLC looking for coffee and breakfast, and we ended up coming here for breakfast every morning during our stay. The staff are extraordinarily nice, the coffee is great, and so are the German pastries. It’s also a small German grocery store. I wish we had a place like this back home!

Having lived in Munich, I have been missing the amazing bakeries of Europe. I can easily say this is the absolute best German (and European in general) bakery in not just Salt Lake but anywhere I’ve been in the U.S. A great place to get fresh bread, fantastic pastries, great coffee and sandwiches! There’s also a good amount of European goods stacked on the shelves around the store like a small supermarket. Super friendly staff as well!
