Cutest little donut shop I’ve ever been to! Great flavor pairings of the donuts, the honey lavender donut was out of this world. Super fluffy and well made!
Great atmosphere of the shop. Very kind service. This place is also a record store!

I have never been a fan of filled donuts until I tried Mad Dough before! I have gotten delivery a few times and would go to their location on 17th South as well. Their flavor combinations are amazing and the donuts are always delicious.
This is my first time going to their new location @ Central Market and the donuts are ridiculously tiny now?! Before the cream and the donuts would fill an entire box and I’d get the pleasure of licking the box clean. But today, the donuts are in varying sizing going from small to smaller to smallest. I hope this is because I got the last donuts of the day an hour or so before they closed and not an everyday occurrence.

Doughnuts are large and well-filled! I love that there are creative and rotating flavors offered.
The dough is on the chewier/breadier side. I’m not sure if this a characteristic of the Bismarck style, but I would have preferred a more tender dough.
The dough is not sweet at all and the filling leans towards the less-sweet side. My group liked the sugar-dipped doughnut the best because of this, since it added some much-needed sweetness back.
The fillings could have been more strongly flavored. The peach one in particular barely tasted of peach.
Given the cost ($4.50+ per doughnut) I think they’re overpriced given the lacking flavor and texture. However, I ate my doughnuts to-go, so perhaps some of my issues were due to that.

Fresh homemade donuts with fun flavors? Yes please! The jam donut with powdered sugar was just like the gas station ones of my childhood but 1000 times better! The tropics one had coconut that wasn’t in the description which my kids didn’t appreciate but I loved. Even my “not a donut guy” husband enjoyed his Oreo one thoroughly. Love this place!

Mandy is a master of masters. Her donuts are simply awesome. I only got to try 4 different ones but not a failure in the group.
I would say if you ate wondering if you should try this shop, all I can say is I stopped in while in town from St Louis, they were great.

I can’t say enough good things about Mad Dough, I’ve been a fan for awhile now and the only reason I’m not there more often is because I live 45 mins away. But I digress, the doughns here are magnificent. Not only are they masterfully made with no detail spared, they also come to life surrounded by the most immaculate vibes. Every time I see and speak with the owner I can’t help but smile. The doughns are fluffy and soft, and the filling is rich and sweet. I have to say though, I come for the cinnamon rolls. I’m someone who cannot control themselves when it comes to cinnamon rolls and I’m telling you these are easily the best I have ever had. Do yourself a favor and grab a whole box and as much as I love sharing the love, you should eat them all to yourself!

These are really fun doughnuts, and you can tell this is a labor of love for the owner. I also enjoy that they sell cute mini doughnuts as well. A local, good vibes kinda place!

My husband and I tried a couple of their donuts and a cinnamon roll. They have a different taste, not to our liking. The only one we liked was the Boston Cream filled one.

If this place had a line out the door, it would still be underrated. The best donuts I have ever had, and Mandy is amazing. The flavors are super creative and always pack a punch, and the dough has fantastic texture. Not to mention the cinnamon rolls are also pretty incredible. No other place in SLC has me checking the menu online every week before they even open.

Mad Dough doughns are absolutely delish! The combination of fluffy dough and the cream filling is amazing, and there’s no heavy greasy taste that you can have with other doughnuts. I love trying all the new flavors. My favorites are boston cream, lemon, key lime, and any that she makes with cereal milk like cinnamon toast crunch and fruity pebbles. I like that I can buy at different quantities and hand select each flavor. Treat yourself to this gem. Your taste buds will thank you!
