Great food pastries. The staff is very hit or miss but the food is great. I’ve ordered several custom cakes from this place and they’ve all been fantastic.

We submitted an inquiry via their website and received a response from Paulette that same day. We emailed inspiration photos and jumped on a quick call to get the details sorted. A couple of weeks before our wedding, we submitted the final headcount and payment via email/phone. Our wedding cake was delivered without issue and our guests said it was the best red velvet they’ve ever had! Paulette and the team at Village Bakehouse are communicative and easy to work with. We highly recommend! (Photo by Betsy & John Photography in Tucson, AZ.)

I can only speak to the baked goods/pastries but man are they delicious! I especially love the macarons, black and white cookies, wedding cookies and the raspberry croissant—OMG. Go early for the freshest, best selection.

Dropped by Ace to get a battery for car fob, looked over at this very nice patio- full of people scarfing, and decided to add a stop! Approx 11 am on Sunday

I wanted to eat outside: so you go in, pass the simply amazing bakery displays (if you can) order, pay, get a number and grab a seat. Whew

Not eating gluten or pork ( not celiac though) there are usually less choices- but there were a few tasty looking options -yay

I ordered the “Three Breakfast Tacos”
Took my number and hit a sweet table in the shade

Inside it was getting crowded with all the lucky people converged around the bakery display – I was jealous. I bet they had some gluten free options, But I still don’t need the calories

The server grabbed me some water and I prepared to WAIT. It took about 10-12 minutes and out came a beautiful display of yum yum CRISPY tacos

Oh YES! The shells were amazing! Crispy, yet easy to bite, not soft, but easy to bite thru-truly the best shells I’ve EVER had
The pico and sour cream just topped it off

I think I set a record scarfing these beauties up.
It was … embarrassing

I’d already paid (and tip is when you pay up front)
So I could slink off quickly with my pride intact
And lettuce hanging from my lip

Will I go back?
YES
FOR
SURE

Try this little gem tucked in a strip mall ( by Trader Joes)

You’re welcome ☺️

I went there with a few friends and each of us order a different thing. What I liked the most was the fruit tart. It wasn’t too sweet and I really like it. I ordered an apple Danish. The apple and sauce was good not too sweet. The actual danish I didn’t like. It was more bread like not flaky. My other friend ordered a chocolate croissant. I didn’t liked it either. The croissant was bread like also, not flaky and it seemed old. I’m not saying it was a day old maybe because we went at 2 o’clock it wasn’t fresh but anyway I didn’t liked the chocolate inside. It wasn’t melted it had chocolate chips. I don’t expect that kind of chocolate inside a croissant so, it wasn’t my favorite.
So, apart from the fruit tart what I liked was that I ordered a coffee but it seems that the guy didn’t heard me. I waited for a while so I decided to ask the woman making the coffee if she had my order and she said no but she made me the coffee I wanted, no charge. I really liked that. It was really nice of her.

Village Bakehouse was absolutely wonderful to work with since the beginning. Given that we had to postpone our wedding a couple of times due to the pandemic, they were very flexible and accommodating. We had changed our minds a couple of times regarding flavors and they were understanding and provided helpful suggestions. Our cake was a masterpiece. They delivered the cake on time and meticulously executed the placement of flowers we had envisioned on our three tiered cake. Besides the cake looking absolutely stunning, it was absolutely delicious. Best wedding cake we have ever tasted and we were so thankful it was our own! Our guests were also very impressed with the quality and taste of the cake. Paulette, the owner, is very responsive and wonderful to work with. In addition, they offer a one year anniversary cake which is a very special gesture instead of saving and eating frozen wedding cake- we are really looking forward to that! We definitely recommend Village Bakehouse!

In my opinion one of the best bakeries in Tucson. Their pies are most excellent and a work of art.

We had a narwhal cake done for my daughter’s 4th birthday. It was gorgeous and delicious. There were some issues when ordering, but the owner made up for it tenfold. Thank you very much!

They have plenty to choose from for people with a sweet tooth. Fast customer service, it was a little busy at 115pm but all staff members made sure to help all customers. Will come back. 7 treats for about $13, but can vary depending on your liking.

From the best sticky buns, cinnamon rolls, and pastries, this Cafe is now my favorite.

Of special delight is the bread. While stationed overseas, I stopped in a small village for lunch and had a sandwich. This is that bread, a perfect Tuscan style loaf from texture to crust.

Absolutely delicious food.
