So nice to find a Portuguese cafe in Worcester. We really miss a good portuguese coffee and decent pastries. We have tried a few English coffee shops in the area including the ‘big’ ones! None of them have come close to the great coffee we had here and the friendly portuguese welcome we have come so used to back home in Portugal!

Beautiful cakes and coffee. The owner was a really friendly guy. My wife is Portuguese and she said that the cakes were perfect and cooked authentically.
Definitely will go back next time in Worcester.

Thom Keen

Delicious authentic pastéis de nata and great coffee, friendly but professional service.

Bought some Pastel de Nata for takeaway. Delicious!

Beautiful little courtyard cafe with a lovely genuine Portuguese feel and amazing fresh Pastel de Nata. A little let down by coffee made from a counter-top bean to cup machine for which I knocked off a couple of stars. I’ve always loved the coffee in Portugal and was hoping for something more authentic.

I just pooped in for a coffee so can’t speak for the food produce which looked quite good. Alas the coffee was dispensed by one of those counter top push button machines – maybe I was naively expecting to see a shiny espresso machine typical of coffee bars in Lisbon and Porto. If these guys can invest in a decent coffee machine, I am prepared to give them a second chance.

Gorgeous little cafe set in the Hopmarket, a quiet courtyard near to Worcester Foregate Street Station. Offering traditional style authentic Portuguese food and drinks, I’ve tried a number of them on my various visits there.

From a simple cheese and ham brioche sandwich to salt cod cakes and piglet rissoles, everything has been fresh and tasty. A good cup of coffee too, way better than those chains offer.

Now, the natas, sweet little Portuguese custard tarts… if you want these, go early as they sell out every day, it took three visits before I was lucky enough to try them, so I had two, just to be sure!

You can also buy a selection of ingredients to take away such as chorizo, salt fish and pate. Tip: the tomato sauce is superb in pasta and with chicken, worth asking if it’s not on show as it’s sometimes in the fridge under the counter. Sounds dodgy but it isn’t!

Friendly and helpful chaps there too, always pleased to see you. Highly recommended.
