The LoDG Reviews

Quiet spot tucked away on a side street off Central Ave.

Only one gluten-free option – aka keto donut (pictured). It was decent. The vanilla cream on top was yummy. The donut was fresh. Not dried out. It’s just the flavor was a little bland for me.

They also have a taro latte with oat milk. Light and fresh.

Menu changes monthly.

Friendly staff.

I am always on the lookout for good donuts and we saw The LoDG on a viral TikTok. We got a half dozen donuts and 5/6 out of them were so good. There was one miss among the bunch (it was a bit dry) but that definitely didn’t diminish our experience. Also got a PB+J latte which was so unique and delicious. Staff was also really friendly. Can’t wait to go back!

OMG these donuts are to die for I had such a difficult time choosing which donuts to bring home. We were so pleased with all our choices. I love that their menu changes monthly, although I can see myself desperately missing February’s strawberry champagne donut. Our selections had such a unique taste and I swear you could taste every ingredient in the description.
The owners are so friendly and excited to share their donut treats with the city.
There is street parking around and the store is right off Central. Some indoor seating is available inside.

I got a batch of their un coquito mas specialty donuts. This was the first donut place I’ve tried in Jersey City and I was pleasantly surprised. The donuts I got were yeast donuts and they were so soft and fluffy. Like any donut, it probably had more sugar than is proper for my daily sugar intake. Regardless, it paired really well with some coffee. My favorite part of the donut was probably the coconut cream filling, which was actually less sweet compared to the glaze, but wonderfully creamy and flavorful. The coconut flakes on the top finished off each bite with a light crunch.

I like to consider myself a connoisseur of donuts. I travel far for donuts. I took my nephew on a college tour nearby and was super excited to try out The LoDG, being that I’ve been following them for a while. We live about 2 hours away. We ordered every donut they had on the menu minus the tea donut. I was not impressed whatsoever. In order, these were the best. 1. Glazed 2. Little chickys. The rest we honesty both took bites out and returned to the box. To each their own.

Will say the donuts do look amazing though.

Delicious!! A little too sweet for me but a little indulgence doesn’t hurt! Got the Hawaiian biscotti, funfetti donut, lil chickpea (maple glaze donut holes with fried chicken inside) – all amazing! Love the unique flavors – definitely going back multiple times!! New favorite spot!!

The vegan donut flavors are delicious! We got two of each—the earl grey and the white chocolate mocha marble—they’re both really good and it’s always great to see creative vegan flavors.

Incredibly amazing vegan donut (cocoa goes to Valencia) and very impressed with the gluten free keto donut. Love how the flavors are very Rich and the food feels so fresh.

My kids love these donuts. The Lodg creates a new menu each month encouraging you to visit regularly to see what’s new! Plus, they have very cute decor.

Donuts made on premises so it’s always fresh.

Update: they have added a keto/gluten free donut.

Did I mention their barista coffees are delish?

Great customer service, too.

I like the concept and where they are going, the people are nice but some of the donuts flavor doesn’t really shine through the way you’d expect.

I got the avocado boat and it wasn’t terrible but it wasn’t that good either. With time they could really get a good stride and become a nice alternative to the common donut shops in the area.
