Always come in through out the year just to pick up some custard cups, this weekend we decided to try other treats. Came home and one of the individual (pre-packaged) cheesecakes were moldy. Bottom layer didn’t have the crust either. Slimy frosting on the cupcakes. Beef empanadas were different. Not impressed. Good for custard cups but that’s it.

Their Custard Cups and Saammmiches ….. so so so worth it! A must have when you’re in Jersey City! Been coming here for years! Never ever ever disappointed

My mom always bought pastries here especially the little custards since the 80’s.
I was in the area and decided to buy a dozen custards ($13) – it was my favorite. Still good, but not as great as I remember it being. I would still buy it again, but the crust on these custards are thicker than I recall.
The workers are friendly Filipina women, but this is a Portuguese bakery. They offer a lot of other pastries/cookies but they are probably best known for their custards. The interior looks roomy and clean, but no place for sitting – just to-go purchases.
Only street parking is available, so it is best to have a 2nd person go in while the driver waits in the car.

So far I’m really loving the pastries here. Custard pies are great! I love the Eclairs. I tried a empanada spicy chicken, it was good but a little on the dry side. I would just recommend giving some sauces with it. Been back 3 times and planing on going back soon. I’m writing this and wishing I had some custard pies right now. Yummy

Mike and Baby are super friendly people. After being in Jersey City for over a decade, I finally went and visited this place and hauled 3 dozens of my fave custard cups and other baked goodies. A fellow Tagalog from the motherland, so great to see and chat with them! Cheers!!!

Don’t get a bacon egg n cheese there took more than 15 minutes to make.

I heard good things from friends and family and decided to visit on my lunch break. Though the food was great, they’d take 20 minutes to prepare a single ham, egg, and cheese sandwich each time I ordered one – and both times the store was hardly that busy. The staff wasn’t the friendliest either, they seemed really impatient with me the first time I visited when I needed some time to check out their menu.

Love this bakery! I like to buy a cheesecake or box of cookies for parties and they are always a hit. They recently started making hot sandwiches, which is great because there aren’t a lot of good places for breakfast sandwiches in the area. You can tell the quality is high even though the prices are low. The staff is also very friendly.
