The Donut Trap Reviews

Valerie

I stopped by the Richfield farmer’s market and the young women was very sweet and pleasant to talk with. The the additional star review here is for her. I bought this for a breakfast gathering and people barely touched it. First time trying these donuts. Very dense, dry, they all taste like cinnamon dough and very uneven donut shapes. The cake donuts are decent.

Awesome donuts with such a variety of flavors. I highly recommend going to any of the farmers markets they have around the cities. The donuts are made fresh every morning and you can tell! My favorite Saturday morning breakfast for sure.

The vending machine is a cute concept, but it is difficult to find, and the donuts are somewhat dry and dense. The frosting was actually good, but not good enough to save the donut. Maybe I will try the donuts they make for the Farmers Market but I don’t plan on returning to the vending machine.

The vending machine donuts all have the same base/bread, it’s like banana bread but dry and much denser. It’s ok, but doesn’t complement many of the upper toppings well. It feels cheap compared to what you should get for $4, but I suppose is what the donuts have to taste like in order to last in a vending machine.

Love the concept of vending machine doughnuts on the go. Even more so obsessed with the doughnuts themselves! I’m not even vegan but their vegan options are my go to and by far my favorite. Issa 10/10 for me!

They have a new donut kiosk at Rosedale Center. My donut was fresh and soft and the toppings were fantastic!! A great breakfast!!

Highly recommend! Stopped by the NE Farmer’s market to get these…we had been trying for awhile and were so glad we finally found them. We tried the vegan oreo donuts (aka NO FLEX ZONE) which were SO INSANELY yummy! The people working the table were really friendly and helpful too. It’s definitely worth following along their insta to find out which markets they’ll be at and making the trek. There are some options for delivery orders as well. Can’t wait to get more of these! Thank you Sssdude-Nutz for doing what you do and sharing this deliciousness with the community. You’ve clearly put lots of thought and love into your recipes. Fingers crossed for a shop someday in the future…we’d be there all the time. Until then, we’ll keep finding ya!

Do NOT order delivery from their website.

I ordered donuts for delivery over a week ago. This company’s website at the time, and as of writing, has the option of ordering for delivery. The site says that donuts will be delivered on Saturday. The email order confirmation stated: “The Donutz will be delivered out Saturday between 9AM-12PM. We will notify you when our driver is on the way. If you missed the order window time (FRIDAY @ 4pm) well move your order to the following Saturday or can refund your purchase.” I expected donuts to arrive this Saturday since I ordered nearly a week in advance. Despite ordering well in advance, I never received the order of donuts or any confirmation of delay or cancellation. My card was charged right away, however, including a delivery fee. I have contacted the email address listed on the Shop order confirmation and on the website and it comes back as non-deliverable. I have left a voicemail and text message to the contact number and submitted an online web contact form and have not received a response. It is extremely irresponsible to have a website still taking orders for delivery if this business is out of operations or not doing delivery. There was and, at time of writing, is nothing on the website to indicate that deliveries have been ceased. At minimum orders that can’t be fulfilled should be refunded ASAP. If you go to their website and order delivery then expect to have to have to contact your bank or card issue to try to get a refund of the charge.
