The Donut Theory Reviews

Was really excited about trying these donuts and fun flavors, so glad we didn’t buy more at almost $4 each! The donuts had a good texture but that was it. The plain was very bland and the strawberry lemon was too strong to even eat.

Soooo good!!! It’s so hard to believe it’s all entirely gluten free it was so good! The juiciest chicken tenders I’ve ever had. They melt in your mouth they are so tender and with great flavor. Excellent CRUNCH without tearing up the roof of your mouth the way some do. I have celiac which is what brought me in the door but my gluten eating bf was blown away by how good the Mac n cheese AND the chicken tenders were! We were so full on the mac and cheese we didn’t even get into our donuts yet. Will definitely be back in the area again. It is located inside the market with indoor and outdoor seating availability also.

The gluten free chicken tenders are absolutely amazing! The Mac and cheese is okay, but it’s still gf noodles so they still get mushy. The donuts are great too.

I have celiac disease & must eat gluten free. I am happy there is a place I can feel 100% safe eating at. The fried chicken is amazing & the donuts I shared with my bf were great too. I can’t wait to come back & try the other donut flavors.

We were driving through town and stopped here for lunch. It was wonderful! The chicken. Was crispy and delicious. The mac and cheese was creamy and amazing. I also bought extra donuts for the road. The staff were super helpful!

I absolutely LOVE the Donut Theory! I have a gluten allergy and it’s been hard to find good food to eat that doesn’t make me sick! When I finally came across the donut theory, I immediately fell in love! The donuts are incredible and amazing! The chicken and Mac n cheese is the best in town. Daniel and Laura are the most genuine people and owners of a business that I know! They love the Knoxville community so well and it’s an honor to support them! Go get all the donuts! You will not regret it! 🙂

I’ve been Celiac since I was 8 (I’m 22 now). I haven’t had a chicken tender or Mac and cheese option at a restaurant in 14 years. I fully give this place a 10/10. The chicken tenders were huge and my sister took 1.5 of them home for a second meal. The Mac and cheese was delicious (I see comments about the noodles being mushy, I didn’t think mine were but if you don’t eat gf pasta regularly, that is how every single gf pasta gets). I ate 1 of my donuts for breakfast today and it was phenomenal. I have 1 left and can’t wait to eat it. If I find myself in Knoxville again, I will def be coming back!!

Under $5 for an artisanal donut? I didn’t think it was possible until I went to Donut Theory! That’s right, the strawberry shortcake donut was $3.50- totally worth it and totally sharable. I

This was a let down. We came here as a back up bc the Donut Shop was closed due to technical issues. The guy working was kind. His favorite was the pumpkin spice with cream cheese. So that’s what I ordered. Eh. It just left something to be desired. After the first bite, I wondered if I should even try more. They didn’t have coffee, no regular or decaf. Donuts and coffee go hand in hand. Turns out they’re the only place in the Marble City eatery who serves coffee, but doesn’t actually have any. I won’t go to the trouble of paying for parking for a $4 donut again and wouldn’t recommend it.

These are the donuts I have been looking for! Ever since I developed a gluten allergy as an adult I have been in search of GF donuts that didn’t suck. These are delicious!!
