Most of the four stars they are getting is because of their service and ambience. Very nice people and a great welcoming atmosphere inside.
Having said that, I had high expectations thinking that their donuts would be Far superior than Dunkin’ donuts and the other competing outfits. I was wrong.
The size of the donuts are small-ish and the flavor is regular-ish. Nothing wrong at all overall. Good tasting donuts. But nothing amazing.
Cost comparison:
their donuts are $14.99 per dozen while Dunkin donuts around the corner is $13.99.

First time trying this donut shop and they didn’t disappoint! I was greeted with warm, friendly smiles from the staff, and that was a great start for me. In my opinion, based in the cleanliness and the presentation of the food, they sincerely care about their business. When trying to decide on the nice selection of donuts to try, I could see the good quality in the food items. I purchased one apricot donut and one cream donut. At the time of this review, I’ve only tried the cream donut, and it was good. Check them out sometime.

The FRENCH CRULLERS are amazing! I drive past dozens of other doughnut shops every few weeks just for these. They are airy, chewy and have a wonderfully light eggy flavor. Just the way they should be. I’m not much of a donut person, but my family is, and so they have something to please everyone.
This is a small traditional family owned business that is located in a small mini-mall. They are very busy with a line of customers constantly flowing through, but they are fast and efficient and friendly. You are in and out in no time. Lots of parking.

My new favorite place in town! Welcoming staff and awesome assortment of donuts that taste great (cherry donuts are a problem for my well being as you see three in the box, unreal tasty!). My kids love the donuts on a stick as well as the other crazy novelty donuts that frequently change. They are clearly a popular spot but handled the Valentine’s Day crowd like seasoned vets. Glad to see a business like them crushing it and the community welcoming with open arms. The Donut shop seems to be the hot topic in the neighborhood with good reason! Seriously grab yourself a cherry donut!

A delicious gem in Plainfield! If you are looking to support local and get delicious homemade donuts, head to The Donut Shop!! It was hard to choose what to try! My favorites so far are the cherry and the sour cream! Clean establishment and friendly staff- we will be back!

Wow the donut shop is amazing. They even have huge donuts. And huge pretzels that are donuts. I didn’t know they had two locations. But they’re only open till 2:00 p.m. ooh did I say they have bacon donuts. They’re much better than the other place I’d recommend coming here and getting your donuts even early in the morning.

Listen, I love this donut shop but this is possibly my third time experiencing visiting this shop 3 hrs early just to find the shelves basically bare. No exaggeration. I am not understanding how the shop closes at 2PM but the shelves are bare at 10 and not replenished. Not sure what’s happening here but I think serving up another batch of at least half of the stock will be a good idea if you’re running out of donuts 3 hours early.

Tried this place for the first time last week and their doughnuts were pretty yummy! I love to support local shops and this one is a great one. Wish I lived closer to stop in every day for coffee and a doughnut in the morning. Friendly staff,, super yummy and creative doughnuts and they have a giant birthday cake doughnut!! Great little gem. Will be coming back soon!

New to the area. We stopped by on a whim to try the donuts. BEST. DONUTS. EVER. The flavor and freshness was amazing. In a league of their own above any other donut place I’ve tried. We will definitely be back for more!
