The Bee’s Knees Reviews

NAUG Reviews

Had an okay experience. Environment was cute, but the service was uninspired. The food was decent—not enough jelly for the size of the biscuit. I probably could has asked for more, but it should come with enough in the first place. The turnover was delicious. I’ve been here several times and the coffee used to be amazing, but lately has gone a little downhill. Got a latte and the milk was very off. Watery and maybe a little old. The presentation was beautiful, but very much in contrast with its taste. Maybe I just came on a bad day, but those seem to be happening a little more often. When they first reopened, The Bees Knees blew my socks off. Had the rosemary biscuit and it tasted like something I’d read about in The Lord of the Rings. The ‘curios’ section seems a little underdeveloped. I expected to see intriguing antiques, artwork, and gifts but it’s mostly clothing with a few records and some vague art here and there. It’s an adorable and unique concept, just needs a little more oomph.

Very helpful staff!! They break down everything and are very knowledgeable. Such a laid back and calm atmosphere. The tofu bacon and Just Eggs on the Beckon was so good, we had it in the wrap. Will be back!

Cute cozy atmosphere but that’s all the good I have for it. Service was not friendly nor knowledgeable and not only was my apple chai underwhelming it was ridiculously small. No way it was a 12oz.

Love this place! I was waiting on seating for a close by restaurant and chanced upon this place! The Mexican choco-chino was to die for! Thanks for the atmosphere and great conversation!

Lovely place to chill and get coffee! I love their unique style of environment and events they organize. One of my favorite coffee shop so far!

The totoro toast & their house drink, The Bees Knees, are my two go-to orders here!!! I love the vibe of the café and the open space they have in back for painting, creating, and doing schoolwork. This is my new favorite spot and I love how the staff knows me by name after just a few visits. I’ve learned so much about the science of coffee brewing from the baristas and it’s pretty intriguing! You can tell they love what they do.

I wasn’t at all convinced I would enjoy it. The food looked at bit odd, to be honest. They made me eat those words, and every bite of what I ordered! It was AMAZING. The flavors were outstanding. We had a huge party of people and everyone was impressed. I can’t believe how good the food was. I can’t wait to go back.

Very cute local coffee shop in Augusta .. great service, good coffee, and fresh pastries .. we got the cold brew, a latte with macadamia milk along with caramel and mocha syrup, and a second latte with macadamia milk and mocha syrup to drink .. also added the fall spice pumpkin muffin, chestnut cream puff, and brownie biscotti

Really love all of my experiences here. The owner has been so careful to incorporate so much of not only the history of the town into his vision but also the current makeup, featuring local artists, craftsmen, and even greenhouses! The food is delicious (I have a hard time not getting one of every kind of the to-go sandwiches when I go, the curry sandwich and vegan BLT are my favs) & the coffees and teas are amazing! Their seasonal house made syrups are also great. Can’t recommend more highly!

The best place in Augusta to have coffee, study, and even play board games — they have some board games in the attached part of the cafe to the right. I put in hours of studying here and miss it every few days.
