Really cute place but the girl at the counter was annoyingly slow. She took our order then proceeded to stock supplies and do other things that should have waited until after we were served. We were the only people in there early in the morning and it took almost 15 minutes to get a coffee and pastries. The guava donut and coconut donut looked delicious but they were flavorless. Coffee was just ok. Disappointed.

Really cute place to eat breakfast. Coffee is great! We had the pancakes with Nutella and they were fantastic! Also had the French toast with Nutella and it was equally as delicious. Very nice community vibe. Very happy to have found this place!

The first time, begin with the music was too loud. Then I waited in line while two female employees discussed and hand combed their hairs while everyone in line waited and watched. That was highly unappealing, so I left.
Weeks later I decided to give it another chance; this time, the service was prompt and good food. The music (again) at 0800 too loud and we had to shout to be heard. I asked about toning it down a bit, and I was told the volume button was damaged. ♀️

For coffee is ok. But the breakfast was awful. Don’t waste your time. This is not the place to go for brunch. There are better places in Old San Juan to have a good and quality meal for breakfast.

Amazing coffee and pastries. Their breakfast are scrumptious and made fresh to order. Highly Recommend.

Not the best breakfast in town. Convenient location and regular coffee. Prices are ok.

Great food and service. We ate breakfast and my donut was delicious. They added chocolate on top for me! Prices are very reasonable. My husband had the egg breakfast and he loved it. Restaurant was very clean.

This place was very welcoming and had friendly staff, however the food lacked taste. We ordered eggs with ham and bacon and eggs with waffles, all of which did not taste good. The food looked beautiful and instagram-worthy, but by far the worst tasting food we had in the area.

very friendly staff, aesthetically pleasing for pictures, and amazing fresh food. I highly recommend the ham, cheese, and egg sandwich as well as their waffles.

We were on a cruise and in San Juan for the day. We were looking for a place to grab a quick bite to eat close to the cruise port in Old San Juan when we found Pilao. It was very inviting and the staff was friendly. We ordered the chicken and beef empanadas, which were delicious, and iced coffee with Expresso shots. They also had pastries, sandwiches and a variety of other drinks from beer to wine on the menu. Great place to sit back, relax and have a bite to eat. The prices were also very reasonable.
