Cafetería Mallorca Reviews

My God, this place is amazing, they were attentive, the kind waiter and the divine food. This was the only place in San Juan that we ate a delicious Mallorca. Cute bread, perfect filling, it was cheese, ham and egg Simple place, but with great value. I recommend it to all tourists to eat the breakfast .. I highly recommend it. I was very happy with this place

The food was amazing! I’ve never had a breakfast sandwich like this one, but I can definitely see why the breakfast Mallorca is a Puerto Rican staple! I would’ve rated this place 5 starts, but the service wasn’t what I anticipated for a small mom and pop place. I’m not sure if the server felt like he would make more money off a larger party, so he tended to them more than my party of 4. It took 5 minutes before we were even greeted after we sat, and then once we received our food, the server did not check on us until I called him over for the check. But the quality and taste of the food is what made me give this place 4 stars!

Food was DELICIOUS, you have to try the Mallorca. Service was amazing, small town type where he knows everybody and it’s almost like eating at your abuela’s kitchen.

This place might have been the highlight of our trip to San Juan. Make sure to get the Mallorca pastry (in picture). I’ve never had such a soft a delicious pastry in my entire life. It’s lightly sweetened and really hits the spot. The service is typical Old San Juan style so they’ll make you wait for 20 minutes without being greeted but in the end it might be worth it. We didn’t dine in so we just skipped the line to the the pastry

This place is over 75 years old in the heart of Old San Juan. We wanted to try a Mallorca so we did. It is a pastry with your choice of cheese, meat and egg covered with powdered sugar. It was so good. Service was great. We waited outside until someone came out to get us when a space opened up. The rice and Carne frito was pretty tasty and filling. Coffee was good as well.

Affordable and delicious! This is a must visit when in Viejo San Juan. Old school vibes but amazing food. I always order the Mallorca with egg and cheese, coffee and a fresh squeezed lemonade, makes my ❤️ and belly very happy!! Check it out, it won’t disappoint.

Simple yet the food is really good. My boys and I had the eggs, bacon, ham, scrambled, pancakes and a mallorca con queso. I’ve never had a Mallorca but to me it’s like a funnel cake and a croissant had a baby with a little cheese in the middle. PLEASE ORDER THIS on your first visit. You won’t regret.

It does get busy so if the door is closed just wait a few minutes. Seems people are conscious that others are waiting to eat.

I will definitely be going again with my kids. They ate everything off their plates.

Just an FYI, the coffee is PHENOMINAL and strong.

Best place ever !!!!!.
We are a family of four and first time ever visiting PR on Norwegian Getaway. After a some walk around Old San Juan we stopped at this place- Best decision ever made.
Our Waitress was really friendly. We were talking during our lunch. It is a family own business for more than 70 years. Food was really delicious and wasn’t expensive at all.

If you are visiting PR this place is a MUST in your itinerary !!!!

Arroz con Longaniza / Rice with sausage.

All the reviews are spot on must try Mallorcas, we ordered several and toast. First serve was not to happy with us because we didn’t know Spanish but the second serve was awesome kept coming back to refill coffee without asking and checked on us thru our breakfast. Needless to say gave him 100% tip as it was a very affordable breakfast too.
