While the food was good, atmosphere was bright and clean. It was very slow, with 7 people ahead of me, it nearly took 30 minutes just to order and another 15-20 to get it. Cuban sandwich and pastrami were good, bread was excellent! Pastries such as the pistachio was tasty and I would definitely come again for a sweets craving.

Great Cuban sandwich with the fresh bread being notable. Ice cold beer that comes out frosty. Very proud of their Obama visit. Given what it is, the quality of fresh bread for their sandwiches, the pork in the Cuban, and even the quality olive oil used in the garden salad – I’d recommend this to friends looking for a very casual lunch. I also thought all the Happy Mother’s Day balloons was a nice touch.

This place is amazing! Came here for a late dinner with my wife while in San juan. A few steps away from our air bnb. They had everything! From delicious drinks to sandwiches. We got a media noche and a Cuban with fries. Everything tasted so fresh. Then we came back the next morning for breakfast, where we shared a puerto rican breakfast sandwhich and a Cafe con leche. We wanted to keep going there for every meal..

I am a foodie, experienced in all kinds of cuisine.
The food is good in here but the customer service is terrible. If you want to order from the food area, like sandwiches, soups or food in general you have to order from one area of the long counter, then if you want coffee, from another area and any pastries from another area.
I was waiting for 11 minutes, standing there ans several employees passed me by, looked at me from the inside of the counter and anyone asked me if I needed help… it’s obvious if I am inside of the restau; I am there to eat.
I had to pay 3 separate times for 3 different things; and 2 of those times I was misscharged.
I won’t return to this place.
All the employees except for a Dominican woman (she noticed everyone else being so rude to me and actually apologized) everyone else seemed like they were upset, so rude and really not interested on helping you out.
I understand the Pandemic has changed everything; but with this type of customer service, they are not going to leave a good impression on the tourists thst are making a purchase thus far re-activating the economy.
So disappointing.

Don’t miss out on this place on your trip to San juan! Counter after counter of delicious pastries! Come early for the best selection. They have made to order sandwiches etc too but the baked goods and coffee are the main attraction in my opinion.
The line / ordering system is a bit confusing the first time. A lot of people assume you need to line up at the far left side cause that’s where the menu is and end up waiting in a huge line. There are registers spaced out all the way down. Just walk up to a register near the pastry case that you want something from and an employee will come right up and get you what you want, tell you what things are (most pastries are unlabeled), make your coffee, etc. Far left register is mainly for hot food orders.

I had a Mallorca (lemon, vanilla flavored enriched dough roll) it was fluffy and moist! Along with a cafe con lèche, it was stronger than I anticipated but good.
There are many pastries and desserts to choose from. There is also a deli counter for sandwiches.

Extraordinary and upscale bakery with a full line of high quality desserts, sandwiches, soups, and all around babalicious meals! Good parking, police security, very clean, and friendly staff to immediately assist you right away!!! Go check them out …

Strong coffee and amazing desserts. Large parking space and friendly staff too – would recommend for an evening snack stop. They also have a wide range of sandwiches although only one (eggs and cheese) was vegetarian. Their wine and cheese menu looked extensive too. We tried the tembleque and arroz con dulce – both for the first time and liked them. The latter was a bit too sweet for us though.

My dessert was very tasty. It was a coconut, guayaba piece of cake. The only thing I wasn’t thrilled about was that it felt like I was in a cafeteria. However, they had a nice selection of pastries as well as wine and dinner and the service was nice.

The line system could be a bit confusing for first-timers: the line at the innermost of the store is for hot savory food, and in the middle is for pastry/dessert and coffee. We got a nice assortment of sweet goods and coffee. Nice place to take a rest from walking in the heat and watch people passing by.
