We picked a cake for a dear friend from here. Though the ‘chocolate walnut’ cake on display looked very simple but it was highly recommended and now I will also highly recommend this one. It was delicious, light, less sweet and fresh. I am a no-cream person so when I saw the plain cake I was not sure to pick this for a birthday, but the lady said she will make it beautiful and will add a message to it. The lady took the plain brown cake, made it beautiful with the sprinkle, strawberry and the message.
Fair pricing and tasted beyond my expectations.
Definitely coming back for all my cake cravings.

I needed to bring a dessert for a small BBQ and I knew the Custard tarts are always a hit! Also got half a dozen of the Nutella tarts and the cannoli’s. Let’s just say a few may not have made it to the BBQ.

Great service and desserts. The egg tarts are amazing, grab a few next time you come here. I haven’t tried their hot food or sandwiches and look forward to trying those next. If you are in the Ajax area and you are hungry, come to Nova Era Bakery.

Very good bakery with kind and helpful staff. They where willing to answer questions about the products. Tried to take a picture of the donut but my son got it first. Lol.

I tried this bakery for their pastries. Customer service is extremly poor. I bought 3 big pastries the guy working their couldn’t even pack them all in 1 box, So the cream on the top of the pastry i brought won’t get smudged. He stuffed two pastries in 1 paper bag. When I asked him to put them all in a box. He seems not to care. I thought people who have common sense wouldn’t do that. And mostly all the bakery places I have visited would pack them in a box. if items that are placed more than 2. This guy had no courtesy or no manners even to apologize for destroying my pastry ! The owner has to check all the bad reviews. I’m giving 3 star only for the tasty cake and pastries I had. Or else I would give 0 star. This place truly have bad customer service but good pastries.

My daughter has been to this place many times and raved about their food and pastries, I see why. I enjoyed one of my favorite delicacies. A Portuguese custard tart. The eclair I bought was probably the best one I have ever had. It look like everything is made on premises as they have a full bakery there. Keep up the great work.Service was good. I will be back. Located in the Somerset Plaza at Salem and Taunton.

Our first time to this shop, everything looks tasty and we bought a birthday cake. Absolutely terrible cake. Full of cheap cream and not much cake. On top of it, we found a disgusting hair inside the cake.

By far the best tarts we’ve had since we visited Portugal. Pastry was so so so flaky and custard was amazing. Sweet buns were also fantastic. Service was superb. Really wish I lived close to this bakery.
