I am staying at a hotel nearby and a couple times I had walked by The Donut Shop but never at the time that it was opened. Today I walked to the nearby convenience store and noticed that it was open so I went back to my hotel to grab cash to get donuts when I got back to the donut shop they had already closed. As I was looking for the hours of operation a man inside came to the window and opened it he greeted Me by calling me sunshine and had the most wonderful smile. He then handed me a box of donuts and said he wanted to make his heart happy. I asked him how much he wanted for the donuts and he told me no that he didn’t want anything that it would make his heart happy to give me the donuts. I was so surprised by his kindness that I did not know what else to say. I just wanted everyone to know how wonderful it felt to be greeted with a smile to be called sunshine and to know that being kind to someone else made his heart Happy. He was a wonderful man the donuts were delicious and I hope that his heart is always filled with the happiness that he shared with me today. Not only did he put happiness in his heart his kindness and generosity put happiness in my heart it is not very often that you experience this kind of kindness from strangers. He is truly a ray of sunshine and I hope that he is always happy

Great donuts, seriously. The raised donuts are best I’ve had. The Donuteer Jonathan is best you’ll meet. Go early for best selection, this place is no secret with the locals.

A friend refered me to this small Donuts shop, when I arrived here at 8 am,most donuts have gone already.Jonathan made two beautiful sprinkles for me and teach me how to do it. The donuts are amazing and Jonathan is great,thank you for giving the city more taste of sweetness!

Love coming here the same guy is always here and he’s super friendly and has always remembered me even after months of not coming to get donuts he’ll always make coming here worth the early wake up. Plus the donuts are good definitely more fresh than most places around.

Mario and I found this jem of jems. We were waiting for Goldstein’s to open we ran across Monarch donuts.The BEST donuts I have ever eaten. They were delicious, delectable and as promised delicate fluffy with just perfect lite crunch. And we were traveling through California and on the 3rd day, Yes, the 3rd day the tasted the like our bite. We need these sent to us in Colorado.
