Long’s Bakery Reviews

The Legend

If you haven’t stopped here, you have a problem. This bakery is fantastic. Everything is made fresh. It’s so good. It’s worth the trip every time. From donuts to cakes to brownies there is nothing in this place that isn’t good. The staff is helpful and they know the products. It is cash only. I’ll be back for more!

This bakery has been around since probably before I was born. The donuts are so good.

These might be the best donuts in the world. I grew up in Indy and have lived in multiple places around the world, eating donuts everywhere I go and hands down Long’s is the best without question or hesitation.

They have a wide selection of donuts, pastries, cakes and lots of other cavity inducing delights. Prices are more than fair, workers are polite & friendly and the food is always fresh.

Currently, they are cash only so remember to bring cash before you come!

I just wish you guys would open a franchise on O’ahu because we need a good donut place!

Their donuts are melt in your mouth bites of sugary delight. I bought the cinnamon roll donuts two of them and two Maple cake donuts and cream filled Maple bar. They were all delicious that I have to say that the maple bar was one not to forget to get in your box of donuts I would get at least three or four if you’re getting them for the family or buying a dozen. I think they are almost up there with Dan’s donuts and Kokomo. Dan’s donuts are the best that I have had. That’s why you better be there before 9:00 in the morning they open at 1:00 a.m. with a line around the block people drive for miles to buy his donuts. I would highly recommend stopping in at Long’s bakery you won’t be disappointed unless they’re out of donuts

When we are going through town, we find an excuse to stop by and get some wonderful pastries. The gal that helped us was exceptional today. The only negative I can say is it’s cash only and the lines are a little long. It’s a must stop any time we can make it happen from being 2 1/2 hours away.

This is a staple in the community of Southport Indianapolis Area. Not only is this the best spots for doughnuts but it’s been a long running bakery with a lot of care, heart, and charm. This place is like a mom wanting to share warm love and kindness with you. Just down the street from Longs is the Dairy Queen that’s been in the area just as long.

Longs bakery used to be my great aunt Linda’s favorite thing to spoil her babies with. When she died and I still wanted to continue tradition with my babies I stopped by longs and was like stepping back in time when she was alive. Still the best sweet smelling spot in the area and thank you for being so kind to my kids (they are autistic) and that could be too much for people but they were kind, sweet, and nice towards my sons and that makes me want to come back for more of their service.

I hadn’t been to Long in many years. All the way there i was raving to my 16yr old how good they we. We got a variety dozen. Not as good as i remember. Yeast and cinnamon twist more cakey than yeast. Dry apple fritters. We only ate 4 total. Next morning i threw rest in trash. Try 16th street next time instead hope they still good there

This place has been my go to list for ages. However i live 2 hours away so had a dr appt nearby and had to check it out. Very disappointed and shocked after having read so many great reviews. I love donuts and these were nothing spectacular by any means. Selection was not great but it was afternoon so id expect them to be picked over & slim pickings. I dk if it was an unusual day for them but i wouldnt go back. I had also messaged them on messenger as i wanted to order ahead but they still havent even seen my message sent weeks ago. I have speech difficulties due to a disability, otherwise id have called them. Much better donuts about 30 mins from home…ill stick with them.

If you want a good inexpensive donut. Go to Long’s. Their original yeast is amazing but you can’t go wrong with trying others. The blueberry cake donut it’s just unbelievably good. The style of bakery is simple and vintage. They have modern tech however they are cash only. I’m not fully sure why they do cash only… as this may deter away some customers. Nonetheless, the place is amazing and they need one on the north side.

Love Longs, always have and as long as they crank out the yummiest yeast donuts I’m a forever fan.. btw the applesauce cake donuts are the Bomb (I could eat them Everyday!).. and the staff behind the counter may not Always hv smiles (probably bc they are So busy and are concentrating) but when you interact and talk to them, well they seem genuinely kind ♡
