Jelly Donuts Reviews

Stopped here this morning cause it was close to the interstate. Picked up 3 dozen for our workers and will never again make that mistake. I usually by donuts from DoughBoy Donuts in Sparks which are the best donuts around without a doubt. These Donuts were the worst I have ever had. Absolutely wouldn’t recommend. Take extra time and go to DoughBoys. This picture was taken at end of shift. A Doughboy donut box would be empty by lunch.

Coffee drinks were watery, with the drink powder all over the outside of the cup. Pastries were old, and we had one that was moldy. Do not waste your time or money.
Employee/owner was very friendly and polite though!

Had coffee with a friend, he had coffee with a donut. Place is not clean, service was less than ok….go somewhere else.

Charming little place. It reminds me of old 90’s donut shops. Small but they have everything you could really want. The donuts taste great too.

Ordered 2 donuts one a Bavarian cream which I never get because I like regular cream and a nut covered one. They both were delicious and you can taste the freshness. I ordered milk and the lady asked me which kind, as I looked I replied white, ha ha and she chuckled at my specialness ha ha. Because all they had was white.

By far the worst donuts I’ve ever had. My glazed twist tasted like it was burnt. Jelly donut lacking a quality fill or even a decent fill at that. Maple bar garbage. The flavors are just lacking and quality lacking big time. There glaze is way to dry and cracking all over the place as well as it having not much flavor. Being from so cal where there is donut shops all over the place this is 1 I would not return to. Not to mention that at 8am they had not much of anything. I guess that means they are busy? But then again I wonder what kind of choices are around this general area.

I’m driving around. Stressed, running errands, driving long distances and haven’t eaten. I need some gas, so I get the cheapest gas. Pump my gas, pull up to a parking spot to map my next destination. I look up and see this donut shop. I could go for a donut. Walk in, not really expecting much. It’s after noon time and they don’t have much of a selection, no worries, I see what I want. Lady comes out and I ask if the donuts are old… She, looks at me like I’m crazy, says they are still warm… Honestly she said some other things but I couldn’t really understand her or hear her. I like whatever, I don’t expect this to be anything special… Pay up and I’m out, back in the car… I can feel that the donut is actually warm, I’m a little surprised by this… It’s a crumble donut, I bite into the donut… It’s soft, sweet and delicious. I stop for a moment and find myself lose time and endulge in the moment. My stress and problems go away. The warmth and sweet softness delay in my mouth… The sweetness dissolves onto my tongue… I let out a sigh of relief and thank the flavor gods for this $1.05 bounty. As I swallow this magic, Tears fill my eyes and I take another bite… My mouth is a flavor explosion, I feel chills throughout my body… It only took me 4 bites and 20 minutes to fully enjoy that crumble donut

After having the worst apple fritters and coffee I’ve ever had I called the Reno store to find out if they were affiliated with this business or not. When he said “No” I said “THANK GOODNESS!”. Then he asked why and I told him about the quality of the Spark’s store’s apple fritters. Unlike his they were thin and overly fried, had probably ZERO apples in them and the coating was too much. The one in RENO is PERFECT. I called the Sparks location and asked her is SHE would like to get an honest report and SHE said no. So I thanked her and told her she would never get my business again. She thanked me and we hung up. Do you suppose she doesn’t understand English? It’s a distinct possibility.
