Hans’ Bakery Reviews

Went in around 10:00 almost everything in donut case was sold out. They did have Birkner boxes premade so I got one. Not until I got home did I realize I got nowhere near half of what was supposed to be in the box, and no mentioned of substitutions. There was 2 more sprinkled donuts in the box (not pictured). Tried a donut the next day and they were so dry. Very disappointed I spent $20 on this.

Wonderful baked goods!
The woman who waited on us was very helpful and pleasant. It wasn’t very busy in the time we were there: 20 minutes.
We only had one table to sit at because the whole window row and the first large table hadn’t been cleaned off.
Two guys stood/ sat around. One was munching. The woman must’ve have been on break or left.
Management may need to review cleaning procedures with these two gentlemen.

From the outside it looks awesome, and maybe once it was. The donuts tasted like they were a week old. They would serve a much better purpose soaking up puddles than being eaten. To pair nicely with the bone dry donuts, they won’t give cups of water. This was the second time we went there too, so it was not just an off day.
Response to owner underneath: Thanks for replying. If you are serious about customer satisfaction, I would recommend changing your donut recipe, or storage process, or whatever is drying out the donuts. I literally took a bite of mine and had to take a drink of coffee just to get it down. It wasn’t worth it to eat any more.

Delicious! This bakery is a must try if you’re in the area. I’ve only heard about this place from some friends but have not tired it. I finally gave it a try on Mother’s day and it’s absolutely amazing! The donuts are so fresh and fluffy! The chocolate coating wasn’t overwhelming and thick/dense and didn’t taste artificial.
I bought a maple bacon long john, a chocolate long john with filling and the huge Texas donuts, totally worth the wait.

I used to love Hans’ donuts and my kids would beg for Hans’ donuts. Since being purchased by Wuollets, the recipes have changed and are unfortunately not even good any more. It is a big disappointment. I used to enjoy talking with the friendly workers as well. If you would bring back the old recipes for raised donuts, make chocolate sprinkled raised donuts, and make cinnamon sugar donut holes again, we would be back in a heartbeat.

The best sweet bread danish I’ve ever had ! Fresh Bavarian cream, perfectly balanced moist bread, w an almond crumble top; absolutely fantastic flavor! And the employee was so knowledgeable about the products, he was friendly, professional and quite helpful! Stop here whenever u are within 20 miles of Anoka !

Do not, and I mean do not, go here unless you have the willpower of Superman. Everything looks luscious and delicious. We did the Texas donut and the apple fritters. Best I’ve ever had!

Don’t go here thinking you’ll get the Hans” Bakery goods you used to love. This is just a storefront now with everything brought in daily by Wuollet’s, not baked on site. Our donuts (bought at 7:30am) were across the board dry and not worth eating. Sadly, you can get better quality at a gas station. (The one positive is the store employees are very nice and helpful!)

My wife and I have been here several times since it changed ownership and it’s just not nearly as good. Donuts are always dry and taste as if they’re several days old. There are much better places in Anoka and Champlin to get donuts.
