We came because of the famous cheese buns.
Funny thing, we don’t live too far away, but never realized how close we were to a Calgary destination bucket list.
Unfortunately, they were sold out of fresh cheese buns. We were able to get frozen thawed ones along with other baked goodies.
The cheese buns were delicious and we can see why they are so well known for them. Get them if you come here or you totally missed out!

Great stocked selection early in the morning. Bought a bran muffin, fresh and good and quite sweet.. Cheese scone was light and had great flavour. Helpful friendly staff 🙂

This bakery has many of the ‘Best in Calgary’ items, but the Boston Cream donuts are the best I have ever had! The chocolate is rich and the filling is plenty, always very fresh. Go get one!

Ordered a chocolate cake but fell short of expectations, the cake it self was mushy and had no taste of chocolate at all. The cream cheese icing was bland at best. 3 layered cake was totally un even. Of all seven guests no one finished their piece and all were disappointed.
Cheese buns were excellent as usual!!

It’s impossible not to love this place. They are famous for their cheese buns- did you know you can buy them frozen to take home and bake later?? They also have chocolate chip buns which are a huge treat, pop them in the microwave for a few seconds and prepare for dessert heaven. Some other items I really like here are the iced almond tarts, and ANY of their scones, the scones are always so fresh and really great with coffee/tea.
Be prepared for a busy shop on the weekend, sometimes have to wait in a line outside. It’s a little chaotic inside, the people “flow” doesn’t really work well, you check out wherever is open. But things move quickly. Watch your step on the way out.

We ordered a b-day cake for my daughter, purple vanilla cake last week. Got a phone call it was not 30 dollars but since it was a custom color it will be $44. I said fine, light purple cake with purple trim. Pick it up today, super dark purple, started eating it super bitter and stained teeth. Over priced cake and doesn’t taste good. Disappointed again, save your money, might as well pick up at Costco. At least we know what to expect from there.

The cheese buns are amazingly delicious and addictive. Have also purchased just regular burger buns for a BBQ, as well as some baked goods as well, and they’ve all been fantastic. I like to go first thing early in the morning to get the freshest items available- those cheese buns fresh out of the oven, still warm, are heavenly! Staff are always friendly and willing to give a hand. Highly recommend!

Cheese buns are the best I have ever had, they are light and airy, and have cheese in every fold. The cinnamon buns were alright, I thought that they were pretty dry.

If you’ve never had the cheese buns here – you’re missing out! This family run business has been around for as long as I was growing up in the SW and still is to this day. In addition to the cheese buns, everything else I have eaten there still tastes tastes exactly the same as it did 30 years ago, so they NEVER cut corners on quality. You just don’t see businesses around like this anymore. ⭐️ ⭐️ ⭐️ ⭐️ ⭐️ ⭐️
