Still on a journey to find a temporary replacement for my beloved Krispy Kreme…
This doughnut was definitely Crispy on the outside & Fluffy on the inside.
The glaze was delicious but I wish there was more.
The price is nice .89 each or 8.99 a dozen!
****The only con is the minimum card transaction is $3.00
Bottom Line: if you’re near LSU give these donuts a try!

Call me crazy, but K.K cannot hold a candle to Crispy Donuts. This place must be Baton Rouge’s best kept secret for donuts . These are by far the best donuts I’ve ever had and after reading the reviews I can’t wait to try their Kolaches.

crispy donuts has to this day the best boudin kolache i have ever eaten. the bread is so soft and light but it’s cooked with a perfect crisp on the outside. the boudin is delicious of course. their donuts are great too. i would get two boudin kolaches and a blueberry donut every time i went (which was multiple times a week). i say all this while eating someone else’s kolache, wishing it was theirs.

When they’re open, it’s great donuts on the regular. One morning back in June I needed to stop by when they open because I had my opening shift that day. I went there around 5:37 AM. I had my friend go inside to pick them up only for the owner (I believe) to tell her that they would not be ready until 6 A.M. even though I called them the previous week and confirmed that they open at 5:30 in the morning. Our shift started at 6 AM. When my friend told him that, he was still adamant about that time frame, so we left and took our business to Mary Lee Donuts. You would think you can serve clientele at the time you yourself say you are open, but I guess not.

This is my absolute favorite place to grab breakfast. Their jalapeño cheese kolaches are ungodly good. Once you try their kolaches, it will ruin all others in town. The bread is PHENOMENAL, so buttery and pillowy soft. They have the best donuts in town, too. They seriously know their pastries! I actually asked them for a job at one point to learn their secret… of course they wanted to keep it in the family. This place is a must-go in Baton Rouge. Inexpensive too!

They have the best kolaches you will ever put your mouth on! Particularly, their jalapeño kolaches, but everything here is exceptional. You will not be disappointed!
