So this morning my husband went over by himself to buy tamales and bread. Like very good husband he didn’t pay much attention to the food. The bread was really hard and flat, then the tamales had a big in them it was. Very tiny one, you could not see it on the Camara that’s why there is phone I didn’t see the point in it. This was a sad, I love this place but they really did a bad job with the food.

Great selection of authentic Mexican desserts! Prices are great.

Great service, sad part is I showed up late on the 16th and they had sold out. Still got some good bread tho. Love their burrito and bread.

Bowie Bakery is a hidden gem located behind Walgreens and Jack in the Box. After living here part time for the last 6 years I am pleased to say that this is a great Mexican bread bakery. Mexican pastries and tamales are prepared daily.
These tamales are outstanding and I consider the best that I’ve tried here in El Paso putting lupita’s tamales to shame. The hot food section is closed by 1:00 p.m. Typical Mexican pastries are available including refrigerated pastries like chocolate dipped strawberries and flan.
The nut cookie is the star of the show. (see pic) I think they are made with some maíz. Brownies are available sometimes and they are delightful.
I highly recommend this bakery and did not realize that they have been operating for many years here. I give this five stars.

Wanted to buy just one item. Arrived at 11:54am on this Sunday morning. We spoke to someone on the phone and they told us they close at noon and were already closing up. We got to the door and had the door locked. One of the employees rudely told us they were already closed.

It says on their door they close at 12pm. Online it says they close at 1pm. If it says 12pm you’re open til 12pm. We showed up before they closed. We didn’t show up at 12pm, 12:01 or 12:02. That’s no way to run a business.

Love their baked goods and burritos. Too bad their employees close up whenever they feel like it.

$7 for 3 dry flavorless pineapple empanas and one old hard pink cookie. This place no longer offers quality pan dulce. The cashier was extremely rude and overcharged. We chose this bakery because it is near our home but I rather make the drive to El Paso bakery where the bread is fresh and the service is friendly. Skip this place

They’re supposed to be open until 12pm but closed at 10:15 am. they looked annoyed that I was able to step inside because another customer unlocked the door to get out. There was plenty of sweet bread, but no menudo and no bolillo bread.

Daaaaaaaaang! Thee most moist soft fluffy gooey incredibly tasting macaroons! Tried pistachio, choco, strawberry soooooo good! Like wow! First time trying those little yummies from there (weirdo donuts macaroons are also the bomb). I love Bowie bread, yoyos and choco conchas my fave.

I was craving Bowie Bread and came to the one on Doniphan I regretted, maybe the Bakers are not aware that the bread it’s Horrible!!!
Only the one on Park it’s Good!
Honestamente debían hasta cerrar la de Doniphan, pueden envenenar a alguien, y no exagero

Went to the west side Bowie Bakery yesterday around 1 pm expecting to get some good sweets. When we walked in the 2 ladies never helped us we had to wait for someone from the back to come and help. Then when we went to pay, I asked about the burritos. The lady said in a rude tone that the kitchen is closed. The sad part is the pastries we bought were nothing outstanding. I live by Supreme Bakery and this Bakery is way better and more professional.
