Biscuit Belly – St. Matthews Reviews

Biscuit belly has a tremendous amount going for it. Typically, breakfast places are sleepy, and the menus are predictably plain. Biscuit belly has a stylish and procured decor that is tasteful and energizing, as any good breakfast ought to be. The food is excellent, unique, and affordable. Enjoyable coffee and cocktails selection readily available. Lastly, and perhaps most importantly, the management and business design of Biscuit Belly is brilliant. The rewards program has already netted me a free appetizer and coffee after just a couple of visits. You can’t beat the happy hour here.

What a fabulous treat! Though I was in search of vegan options, I did at least find very tasty Vegetarian ones! The staff was friendly and efficient. The service was expedient. The coffee was fresh and hot. The food was plated well and flavorful. This dining experience was on point! Highly recommend. The traffic in this location was high and kept flowing! Hopefully you’ll enjoy it as much as I did!!

The food was delicious. One of those places you talk about how great it is even after leaving. I recommend the Fried Green Tomatoes and Loaded Breakfast Tots for the starters. Their biscuits are killer. Firm on the outside, but fluffy and cloud like on the inside. You really can’t go wrong with anything on the menu.. Favorites are Fire in your Belly, The Love Shack, Biscuit Bennie, Belly Buster and The Frenchie. Prepare to be stuffed after eating! Quality ingredients. The only reason I gave it 4 stars instead of 5 is the seating. You grab a menu, wait in line to order at the counter then go seat yourself. It gets super busy in there and sometimes after ordering your food there is nowhere to sit. Still highly recommended regardless!

Omg yes! For breakfast it’s a little pricey (50$ for 2 w/o cocktails). We did have coffee though. It is a self service counter which is usually a turn off. however, they were so quick and friendly and efficient at the price it is actually well worth it for the quality of food! Oh, and cleanliness, and just the way they have their wheel greased so that it is a constant flow of people and food and service!!!

The atmosphere was warm. The staff were cleaning the tables and being very responsive. They answer all of our questions. The food came out quick, we ordered the Frenchie, the stacked pancakes and the belly board. We drank the cinnamocha, fountain drinks. The Cinnamocha was delicious and looked great. The Frenchie was not as moist as I would have liked it to be on the inside. Also a bit hard on the bottom. The pancakes were great, and so was the belly board even though the sausage were a little dark. I don’t mind a bit burnt though. The fountain drinks were ok, I’ve never had that brand and flavors but it was alright. There was no issue finding a table.

Wonderful breakfast! Chicken was so good and sausage gravy was tasty! Breakfast tots were amazing. Can’t wait to go back and try something different.

For $68, I expected a brunch that was better than “meh”. Everything was just too much – biscuits cooked too long, sausage gravy too runny, brie overwhelming the flavor of the dish, just too much richness of flavor in everything. The only thing we enjoyed were the hashbrown balls. On the positive side, the young staff was extremely friendly and efficient, and the place was very clean and inviting. Hopefully, we just ordered wrong.

Love this place. Definitely one of the best places for breakfast in Louisville. Everything is super filling as well, so you’re getting your money’s worth!

From the moment we walked in the door the service was great! I love the flow of the place. The ordering process should be used in more restaurants and the amount of food that you get was amazing! It was just a great experience all around! Highly recommend this place! Can’t wait to go back. The only downfall I see in the place is that they aren’t open later because I could eat this food anytime of the day!
