Back In The Day Bakery Reviews

The only negative is that are only open Saturday and Sunday. Banana pudding is the best I’ve ever had. Ham and cheddar croissant, so flaky and delicious with a hint of pepper from the ham. Star brownie is beyond rich and went great with ice cream. Biscuits and jam were superb. I have 2 of their cookbooks and love everything that I make from them. Will definitely be visiting whenever I’m in town.

They were all good, however we got them cold, if they were hot it would have been a 5 start review.

Dont even think about it just go! The croissants rival those of my favorite bakery back home. The cookies are so buttery and delicious. I havent tried the cupcake yet but im sure it will be just as amazing as the others. Wish I had discovered this sooner in my trip!!

This place is the BOMB. My husband and I live in the neighborhood and usually swing by every weekend to pick up biscuits and sweets. Let me tell you…the biscuits are life changing. There are great biscuits in Savannah, but these ones….they are like magic. Pair a biscuit with butter and their house made jam and *chefs kiss* its heaven. I also really enjoy the drunken blondies! This place is the best, don’t miss out!

The biscuit I enjoyed was life-changing. All other biscuits are imposters compared to Back in the Day biscuits. I added peanut butter to the homemade peach jam. The chocolate chips cookies were also amazing. Loved this welcoming establishment. I will return asap from Tampa.

This place have delicious biscuits! I ordered bacon, egg and cheese and I have been thinking about it every day! I went with 3 other people and we all loved it. They ordered the BLT biscuit. The prices are high, mine was $11, but worth it. We also ordered the guava pastry and was spectacular! Coffee is great too! Definitely a must stop if you are visiting Savannah! Line was about 20-30 minutes, so go without being in a Rush.

Best bakery I’ve been to in a while! We got there at 11 and there was a long line. The wait wasn’t bad and it was well worth it. Everything is obviously fresh and the owner is super friendly and helpful. We got the blueberry muffin, the lemon bar, the lavender shortbread cookie, the brownie, the guava and cream cheese pastry, and the salted caramels. My husband and I loved the pastry! Next time we’re in Savannah we know that we need to get more than one of everything or make time to do a second trip because everything was gone way too fast.

Had the biscuit with whipped jam and butter – soo good! On top of that a croissant with cheese and ham for something savory and though we’re used to the standard of baked goods in Denmark (it’s very high!) we were very pleasantly surprised.
Lastly, we had a piece of brownie – which was huuuge – and it tasted great when it was cooled down.. but when it warmed up it was absolutely amazing!! Gooey, chocalatey and delicious.

I would love to have been able to give it a better rating but the fact is flew all the way to Savannah and walked from our hotel on the river only to discover they were not open on September 18. Need to update hours on Google. Never got to taste nothin

I have heard all about this cute bakery and it did not disappoint! I knew it would be good when I saw the line inside and the tables full. My cousin and I went on a Saturday morning and it was just the best place to be. We ended up ordering a piece of “bluebarb pie” and a biscuit with strawberry jam on the side. So good, and so fresh. You could tell it was made from quality ingredients. The whole shop inside is decorated so cute as well! From vintage/farmhouse style, to southern charm, it had it all. You can even see them baking in the back if you go around the corner. Such friendly staff and overall a great place to be!
