The Salty Donut Reviews

Came here a few months ago and I just can’t stop thinking about the donut I had. Amazing, amazing traditional glazed. Perfectly sweet, and amazing texture. Soft, but gives a good bite. My partner had the cornflake donut and enjoyed it as well. Loved the aesthetic, packaging, and friendly employees too.

The Toasted Coquito might have been the best donut I’ve ever eaten! The cinnamon flavor with toasted topping was *chef’s kiss* We also got the Glazed and the Caramel Toffee Crumb and they were so good also! The donuts themselves were so fresh and fluffy! We will definitely be returning!

Very classy and clean coffee and donut store. Nice outdoor seating. I would say this is as close as you can get to ” The Glass Knife” for classy donut shop. But we know TGK has more than donuts/coffee.
I did like their cookie cake donut, but not the regular cake donut that was light color. Example , Chocolate cookie crunch or Apple Butter donut. Although, I would still eat the Apple Butter donut. I give them a 7 out of ten. I just didn’t like the cake was of their donut, but loved the place.

The ambiance is amazing. I wish I could sit there and relax; it’s got that type of vibe. The server Doanna did my order and everything was spot on and everything given in a timely manner. I used to go to the one in Miami, so I definitely know these donuts will be great!!

This donut/coffee shop is definitely everything you could hope for in a cafe: delicious food, tasty drinks, and an amazing visual appeal to allow guests to sit back and enjoy their treats. We stopped in here on a whim because we were in the area and I’m so glad we did! The curb appeal is phenomenal, the garage door siding, the colors, and there’s a great amount of indoor and outdoor seating too! They had a ton of donut flavors and they were all laid out so nicely for you to see. I really appreciated all the flavors being at the front by the register so you could easily see what donut flavors they had in stock as well as what they looked like (definitely entices you to buy more because they all look delicious). We went in planning on getting one or two donuts and ended up getting 6 + drinks! They aren’t like any other donuts I’ve had before – not as dense or crumbly as cake donuts and not nearly as light and fluffy as yeast donuts. They ARE very bread-y and kind of dry for some flavors. The only negative thing I can say is that I feel like they should put on a heavier coating of glaze for a majority of the donuts to counteract how dry the inside is. They are fairly thick donuts so I feel like you didn’t get enough flavor from the glaze/toppings to level out the flavor of the plain donut by itself. I liked the flavors of each donut I just wish there was more of it in each donut. But hey, maybe that’s just me and some people might prefer that! Besides that one tweak though, everything was absolutely fantastic. I ordered the hibiscus lemonade and that was true to taste. It had that floral taste from the hibiscus coupled with a fresh, not super tart lemonade. It’s good but you really have to enjoy the floral taste to like this drink; I likely wouldn’t get it again if I came back. Also be prepared to pay a pretty penny if you plan on getting more than 2 donuts, or if you want to have drinks with your dessert. I wouldn’t count that against this place though considering it is a super popular donut shop, very worth the price, and also in a trendy area of Orlando. P.S. they have the COOLEST shoe box -esque donut boxes that I absolutely adored. Very sturdy and unique look to them that made the visual appeal just that much better! Overall, I’d say it’s worth your time to stop by if you’re looking for something different to try.

Absolutely delicious donuts (in which have no preservatives and the best I’ve ever had), coffee and hot coco.
Very comfy nice vibe inside also outside seating available under canopy.

Only thing I’m disappointed in is the donuts come in huge boxes even if you are eating there which feels like a waste to me and there is no recycling.

Waited outside for a few minutes, it was WELL worth it! First timers. Great selection of donuts. We were in line with many that had been in before. Got great recommendations. The donuts are big, airy, delicious clouds! The flavors, put a smile on your face. We had traditional glazed, pineapple upside down, cinnamon brown butter!

I saw this place on Instagram and had to try it! Each donut was good, we definitely liked some flavors over others ones but they are all unique in their own way. Excited for the Tampa locations to open up!! <3

They say they have the best donuts in the country, and they weren’t kidding. Me and my husband are obsessed with this place. I think we’ve spent enough money to pay their electric bill.. They have brioche and cake donuts. Brioche > cake. The cereal milk latte and maple brown sugar cold brew are the best. Don’t walk- RUN to the Salty! ‍♀️

So glad I was in town for their limited edition collaboration with Knaus Berry Farm! I loved getting their donuts as a decadent treat in Miami and I’m glad that they stay consistent in quality no matter the location. Their coffee is also good. They are one of my favorite specialty donut shops in the US. Prices are reasonable. It gets busy, so I’d recommend ordering ahead online. Service is friendly.
